Cantonese Beef & Eggs over Rice?

Hey guys, I'm trying to find this dish called "slick eggs and beef over rice" or 滑蛋牛肉飯(gwat daan ngau juk faan). Attached is a pic from the internets. I know Chinatown will most likely have it, but which restaurants? I don't want to go to every one and check if I don't have to, and it would be nice if you guys who tried it can let me know which restaurants cook up a good version of this dish.

PS: I'm not looking for the version made with minced/round beef or 滑蛋免治牛肉飯.

Thanks!

YumeWoKatare Ramen - anyone been yet?

That is actually a really good idea. People here need to do it as the Japanese do, eat it quick and get out, no waiting for friends. It will be good for everybody involved imo.

YumeWoKatare Ramen - anyone been yet?

All dat pork fat on top, aka Saebura, is actually pretty amazing. We should start calling it the "Saebura Seppuku."

YumeWoKatare Ramen - anyone been yet?

I went today. If you guys are thinking about going, it is best if you are one of the first 16 people in line because you get served pretty fast. (Since there are only 16 seats in the joint). After the first 16, you gotta wait until a seat becomes available, and people here eat uber slowly(can't blame them). Also, order a normal size bowl unless you can really eat. One bowl of normal ramen from other joints rarely fills me up but this beast has 2x the noodles and so much more fat that I could barely finish. Ohhh man the fat....if I come here more than once a month I'm gonna get heart attack for sure. Honestly though, Yume Wo Heartattack is probably the best kind of heart attack.

YumeWoKatare Ramen - anyone been yet?

If you start waiting at 5:30, you will get your ramen at around 6:30.

YumeWoKatare Ramen - anyone been yet?

springy and chewy, al dente, thick. Also it's kinda different from normal ramen noodles. I can't really describe it further, you just gotta wait in line for 1.5 hours and try it yourself.

October 2012 Openings and Closings

I mean, the new guy has 5 stores in Japan, and they serve this kind of ramen, which is pretty different from Sapporo and others in the porter exchange

Bon Chon/Bull BBQ

I had a pretty nice experience with a party of 7, about $20 per person after tax and tip. 40 wings (half-half), cooked galbi, cooked bulgogi, mandu gui, raw samgyeopsal for the grill, raw galbi for the grill, and japchae. Nothing really to complain, the food taste pretty similar to what I've had in korea. (obviously not as cheap)

Bun Mam - Vietnam's complex, deliciously stinky fermented fish noodle soup

Just ate a bowl of this for lunch today, wasn't as unpleasant as I expected. I can only taste a hint of fishiniess. I liked it! My roommate who came with me to Hien Vuong couldn't stand the fishiness however. It's to be expected since fish sauce isn't part of his culture.

Restaurant near Boston Harbor Hotel for this Saturday evening?

Ditto on Meritage. Everything I've had there was super delicious, and I've tried around 10 small plates

Challah bread for Rosh Hashanah

MIT's Challah for Hunger club sells them for $5 on fridays at the first floor of the Student Center and they were pretty tasty last semester. As to flavors...I usually go late so they only had nutella and plain....they should carry raisin

Where to buy Kaya?

For those of you who don't know, Kaya is a delicious coconut jam from Southeast Asia that goes great on Toast. Does anyone know a store near Boston that has it?

Chinatown Bakeries: Best Pineapple Bun

Maxim coffee house in Chinatown has really good pineapple bun. The crust is dry and crisp, much better than baobao's soggy top.

Asian Noodles for Breakfast??????

I think I used it as a polite way of saying "they suck real bad" lol. But yea, the broth sucked, the meat got stuck between my teeth, and the noodles weren't particularly tasty. Oh and they charged me extra for requesting "no cilantro." wtf?
