Holy Chuck... Priest has nothing on this place.

There's a group buy for Holy Chuck on Buytopia right now. "$10 for $20 worth of specialty burgers, fries, drinks, and more!." Worth the buy for those of you that frequent the place and for those of you who have been meaning to try HC.

The Costco Thread - Ontario - 2014 - July to September

Was at the Etobicoke Costco earlier tonight. It was the least busy I could remember it being since those brutal January days of last winter. The benefit is you can casually walk the aisles without worries of bumping into people. The only drawback is you tend to spot more things to buy.

They were sampling ED Smith organic raspberry, mango and orange jam. It was very good, so I grabbed a jar but decided against it when I got to the cash register due to having an unopened jar of Bonne Maman.

They were out of pumpkin pies. I asked someone in the bakery and was told they would be restocking them tomorrow morning. Also no signs of Kirkland vanilla ice cream.

Mini Burgers

Medium Rare in Etobicoke carries a variety of sliders (beef, bison, boar and chicken) that are made in-house. They usually come frozen and I am not sure if they would deliver or not. Best to give them a call.

Where to buy Ghirardelli product

I am pretty certain that I've seen it at the Lindt outlet on the Queensway.

Iberian Ham (Jamon Iberico) in Toronto?

Here's a picture taken from the original sighting in Ottawa.

Iberian Ham (Jamon Iberico) in Toronto?

I saw this on another forum.

Loblaws (I assume selects ones) has Fermin Iberico and Serrano ham on sale for $1.99 for 100g. YMMV.

So far the only reported GTA sighting was Bayview and Hwy 7.

I've never had any before but have read enough about it that I always wanted to try it and now seems like as good a time as any.

Here's hoping one of my local Loblaws is stocking it.

BBQ tools for Father's Day

It's not quite midtown or downtown but Sobie's Barbecue should have everything you need and then some.

The Burger's Priest new location??

It did indeed.

Struggling in Etobicoke/SixPoints...Help- Takeout!!

Very excited! I've have not been to The Burger Priest as of yet. They will do exceptional well in this part of the city.

The Burger's Priest new location??

Trips to Costco will never be the same!

Maybe where Max's Market used to be?

Easter bread or paska in TO?

Natalie's Kitchen in Etobicoke will have both paska and babka available tomorrow in limited quantities. Just saw this on their Facebook page.

ISO - 5 Gallon Food safe Buckets/Pales

Tap Phong on Spadina. Picked up a 5 gallon bucket before Xmas for brining a turkey. They carry various sizes as well.

Any still looking for Pepsi Throwback?

Apparently Costco is stocking it as well. YMMV.

The Costco Thread - new products, old favourites, interesting items

Picked up a container there just before Xmas.

Steaks in the West End - Medium Rare VS Bruno's VS ...?

I'll admit, I have a bias towards Medium Rare. Connie (the owner) has treated me superbly since I started frequenting the shop. They are very accomdating and the quality is almost always excellent.

I went to Philly?

No problem.

I don't check them often either, but I happen to be purchasing a couple of Lindt vouchers and saw it, so I thought I'd post it.

I went to Philly?

There is a deal on Teambuy for this place with three different options to choose from. Unlimited buys too.

Might pick one up for myself.

Beretta Farms in the GTA

Same with the Loblaws at Burnhamthorpe & The East Mall.

Vernor's Ginger Ale

Soda Pop Central in Whitby.

Longo's on Laird - now open

Eglington Square and Parkway Mall. Don't know the location of the fourth one.

European Meats is closing

Closing for good:

Glad this doesn't affect their Etobicoke outlet.

Bison meat in Toronto?

Totally agree. Picked up a Bison Rib Eye (among other things) last weekend. It cost close to $30/lb.

Natrel Dark Chocolate Milk

Both the dark & regular chocolate milk are on sale this week for 99ยข at Galati's on Burhamthorpe. Picked up some for myself. No limit based on my purchase. Both have expiry dates of March 03.

$16 for $40 Worth of Premium Local, Traditionally Raised Meats at Medium Rare Premium Meat Boutique

My concerns and fears were totally unfounded. I've been back many times since my post and it's business as usual despite Frank's passing.

Coming from a small business background, I feel it's important to support small businesses as much as possible. Even if it means spending more money.

Re: prepared foods: Thus far I have only tried their Tourtiere pie which I spit with my grandfather. We both liked it! On my last shopping trip I wanted to get another one but they were sold-out, so I had to settle for the mini ones.

I will continue to support Medium Rare and I hope they keep on flourishing. IMHO, they are the best of the west. Hands down!!!

New Butcher/food store in Etobicoke

What was the damage (cost) of the pork shoulder? Thinking of smoking one before the weather changes permanently.

Based on your review, I will get some roast beef on my next trip.

New Butcher/food store in Etobicoke

I am glad to hear this from someone who's been shopping there since their infancy. After Frank's untimely passing, I was not sure what would happen with the shop.

I've been a customer since last December and have been hooked ever since.

I totally agree with you about their chicken, pies & bacon.

My inaugural cook on my new smoker was their chicken and while it didn't turn out like I had hoped, it was argubably the tastiest, juicest chicken I've ever had.

Their pies do sell out often. I just recently shared a whole Tourtiere pie with my grandfather who happens to be in his 99th year. His mother was French Canadian and it was a tradition in their home while growing up to have Tourtiere pie after returning home from Xmas mass. Which kind of makes him an authority on traditonal Touritere pie or so he says :) He gave his approval. Only thing we didn't like was the top crust seperated from the filling. Making the presentation unappealing.

I've been thinking recently about ordering a turducken for Christmas. Funny you would mention it.

Their bacon is a staple for me. I am embarressed to admit this but, I pick up a package ever time I go. Doesn't say much about my self discipline. I was under the impression their bacon was/is smoked in house.

I also like their charcuterie & sausages.

Where to find mini- burger buns or slider buns in Toronto?

I've seen them @ Loblaws.

I don't know what to make of this new deal. I've haven't been in the shop since Canada Day long weekend, so I don't know what has changed since Frank's passing. It would be hard to imagine nothing has changed. Obviously when a proprietor of a business passes away you expect some things to change. Also this deal is Butcher-esque discount wise. I think I'll sit this one out.
