Wooffles & Cream - Is it as trip-worthy as it appears to be?

That is my suggestion why there isn't any CH love for it.

Markham/Richmond Hill Hounds Rejoice - 3 Top Japanese eateries coming our way!!

I really enjoyed the veggie ramen at Touhenboku, but a regular bowl was OK, but not inspiring.

STK is coming to Yorkville

I'm surprised you can't enjoy the concept of a turnkey restaurant which is building The One Group brand equity globally.

Bungeo Samanco and T&T/PAT

Are there any Asian stores where I can find these ice cream delights? Searched the T&T on Cherry Street and searched the PAT website, but no luck. I'm hoping they are off the radar somewhere and available.

Kanpai Snack Bar

Always amusing to compare Chowhound reviews to other sites and trusting the Chowhound reviews WAY more.

Bona Pizza going out of business, or moving?

I have seen For Sale signs plastered on the front of Bona Pizza. Does anyone know whether they are going out of business, or whether they are moving to a new location?

Temaki Express on Danforth

I went in close when they opened. Maybe there were Brazilian enhancements on the menu, but what I got was a standard (and I think I recall slightly bigger) hand roll with a tea.

Temaki Express on Danforth

Cheap and cheerful Japanese cuisine, with the emphasis on handrolls. Nothing I would go out of my way for, but if I was craving a Japanese handroll fix and was in the area, I would certainly go in.

Sadly, almost everything is closed down by 7 p.m. I will remember that The One In The Only stays open later, thanks.

Japanese Candy

J-Town is really well-stocked. Don't know anything about the Japanese offerings at Pacific Mall for candies. There is a snack shop there where I fulfill my rice cracker cravings.

AYCE Chinese: Any recommendations?

That was the place. I'll check out Genghis Khan Grill, thanks!

Rude treatment at Khao San Road

I can't think of any instance where I would need to know a server's name. A manager's name, yes. And with the out of control social media world, fake names make sense. As long as the management knows who I am talking about, that's all that matters.

Hiro Sushi/Kotobuki Sake Bar

Hiro was super nice to me when I came in all alone and shivering one night. Sat me down at the sushi bar and fed me omakase which was very affordable.

AYCE Chinese: Any recommendations?

Ever since The Great Khan closed at Steeles and Kennedy, I haven't had the urge to visit an AYCE place. But I agree with Dragon Pearl as a not bad choice out of all those out there, some friends dragged me out there and it was a decent AYCE place.

Rude treatment at Khao San Road

Well, ok. These comments have made me think.

The hostess not providing the name is poor customer service.

The adding a seat to a four table to make a five seater is poor customer service.

The restaurant has an understandable policy towards not allowing groups to waste the restaurant's time with waiting for group members, because not every group is as honest as the OP's group.

If Khao San is "hot" enough that they can get away with not giving names when asked and not having to at least pretend to be apologetic, well, then, they can stay in business.

And it is awkward for the Khao San person who posts on Chowhound.

La Boulange at Starbucks

The sample chocolate chunk cookie they gave me the week before at Starbucks was pretty good. But pain au chocolat is a more delicate construction, so I can see where they would serve a barely edible chocolate brick.

Damn, now I want to go to La Cigogne for pain au chocolat...
