"Sauce" on the Danforth
The mix of hard liquor and fresh pasta sounds very odd. I mean, the pun for marketing is great, but actually eating and drinking there? We will have to see.
Duke of Kent review - Authentic British Pub at Yonge & Eglinton!
The Duke of Kent is part of a mini chain including the Duke of York on Prince Arthur and the Duke of Somerset on Bay near Elm. http://www.thedukepubs.ca/
They are a step above the "Fox and Fiddle" and "Gabby's" chains, but that's not really a hard thing to do. And they are about as authentic a British pub as something in a theme park.

It's one of their not online late night menu options, so yes, unless they've radically changed things, you should have been able to get some. :)

They also have a whole fridge full of exotic and sometimes pricy beer bottles. Their lunch menu is more in line with what I want to pay in that neighbourhood, although I'm never around at lunch.
Yeah, if I'm going to pay that much, it definitely will be in a different part of town.
Bars at Woodbine & Danforth?
I think we're talking about the same place, and you're all braver than I am if you stuck around there.
Bars at Woodbine & Danforth?
I love their half-price pizza nights on Wednesdays! I've usually had good service there, except for last time, which I am treating as an exception.
Bars at Woodbine & Danforth?
Kind of late to answer the old questions about TKO's, but I enjoy the food there. It is a sports bar, and it is very neighbourhood, but not that noisy. Good service, good homemade style food, reasonable prices. Not the place for an upscale night out, but if you want to hang around in a t-shirt and shorts, perfect.
Bars at Woodbine & Danforth?
I wonder if we're talking about the same place I walked into.

Well, Morgan's food is very good, but you are also paying for the joy of eating it, at a price point I don't indulge in much. (Although I have come to love their nachos, which at $11 are at a great price point for value and taste.) They have the standard beers on tap, but I enjoy trying their guest tap which goes from Wed-Sat? Or Sun? Don't remember, but the point is they don't offer it on their non-busy times.

I don't go there that often, but when I do, I would say yes.
Bars at Woodbine & Danforth?
I walked in the Kilt and Haggis once. looked at the kitchen and the patrons and the dingy furniture and gloom, and walked out again. You are a braver man than I.
Scarborough To-Do List - What have I missed? What SHOULD I miss?
Not a big Scarborough expert. I know a couple of places that have been mentioned elsewhere (The Real McCoy, Fisherman Villa), but nothing new.
"Restaurants" Database To Be Eliminated
I will just echo the comments that it is ridiculous to run a site which involves as part of it user reviews of restaurants, and have no way to locate those restaurants on that site, or to add new restaurant information.
Morgans on Danforth
True. Unless one goes mad and orders one of the premiere bottles.
Scarborough To-Do List - What have I missed? What SHOULD I miss?
The lunch specials at Lin Garden are cheap and plentiful and edible. Not much beyond that, though. :)
Morgans on Danforth
Was that the older guy with the wavy hair?
Anthony is the best thing about the place.
Thai Plate
Been there once and loved it. Not a destination spot, but when I'm in the neighbourhood again, I will definitely drop by. Everything was fresh and delicious, and service was super friendly.
NEW Best Pizza in Toronto Thread
I think with how full I feel after eating three slices of his delicious pizza, a small fits the bill of being comfortably stuffed. ;)

Morgan's on the Danforth -- good (pricey) food, fantastic beer selection, good wine choices. Generally very much an older crowd there.

I just figured out this year that small is the best for your buck. So true.
Burger Stomper and Milkshake Bar - Danforth Ave
You forgot the obligatory "gourmet" in their signage. ;)
Morgans on Danforth
Good food, high prices. I have heard the owners comment that they are positioning it as a "bistro" rather than a pub. They also have a (to me) fair sized wine selection along with the many beer choices.
Since I like to eat more than I like to drink, I don't go here that often. But, service is great and the (somewhat pricey) food is tasty. The burger is really good. They also have a late night menu with some cheaper choices (burger, nachos, etc.) which is offered after 10 pm? I think?
ISO: Pirate's Booty
That 24 hour place (not the Metro, the independent grocer) at Bloor between Spadina and Bathurst used to carry it, not sure if they do anymore.
Pizzeria Via Mercanti
From this and the Blog TO review, they seem a bit prosciutto-mad.
Scarborough To-Do List - What have I missed? What SHOULD I miss?
It's far away from me too, but I really want to try their weekend brunch some time.
