Spicy Food in Philly?

Thanks for the great suggestions, Barry! Very helpful... I'll have to look for those Diablo sandwiches. Everything you listed sounds tasty, though!!

Spicy Food in Philly?

Just heard about it (and check out the menu online). Sounds really good, and SPICY! What would you say is the hottest thing on the menu?

Spicy Food in Philly?

Chow Hounds, please help!

I am looking for the spiciest food in the Philadelphia area. I mean places that serve dishes that really burn the tongue (but also have flavor) and have you reaching for water (or milk).

I've come across Han Dynasty and the KOJA food truck, but I'd love suggestions from locals on the spiciest places in town. Anything come to mind?

How about a spicy Philly Cheesesteak (if there is such a thing)? I'd love to find unique foods that Philadelphia is known for, just done spicy! All suggestions welcome.

Thanks!

Spicy Food in Miami?

Hey Chow Hounds!

I am doing research for a new Food Network show and we are looking for the spiciest food in the Miami area. I understand Peruvian and Haitian cuisines traditionally have some pretty spicy dishes and it seems like there are a lot of these types of restaurants to choose from around town.

Anyone have suggestions for the best (and spiciest) Peruvian or Haitian places in Miami? In general, what are some of the spiciest restaurants in the city? Any other types of food I should be exploring?

We'd love to find some restaurants/cuisines/dishes that are somewhat unique to Miami or part of the city's culinary identity.

Thanks!

In search of the hottest, spiciest food in Santa Fe!

Great feedback, finlero! Thanks for weighing in on this topic. I heard Horseman's Haven isn't all that authentic (with the way they achieve the heat level) in their chile, but they sure can burn your tongue. I'll have to check them out, among other, truer Norther New Mexican restaurants.

In search of the hottest, spiciest food in Santa Fe!

I am a serious chile head looking for restaurants in Santa Fe that bring that authentic New Mexican heat! Red chile, green chile... who makes it the spiciest?? The more tongue-burning, the better. I have heard Horseman's Haven has a Level 2 green chile that scorches but what other local spots have fiery foods? And what spicy dishes are the best to order at those places?

SPICIEST food in New Orleans!

No need to apologize. I'm not saying they started one way and then "toned it down." I just mean what would serve as hot/spicy at home in the bayou is clearly a level above what they will serve you in a restaurant. I'm just searching for a place that serves that old school heat!

SPICIEST food in New Orleans!

Great suggestions, everyone! Thanks for the help. I know New Orleans is more "flavor" than "spice" these days but I am looking for those restaurants still serving those old school super-spicy recipes that my Poppa's family would be proud of (raised in bayou country). It seems none of the TOP restaurants in New Orleans want to go for the burn anymore now that they've catered to the masses (and the tourists). Anyone know a hole-in-the-wall place serving some spicy boiled crawfish that would make the old school crowd happy? Or any other tongue-tingling dishes?

SPICIEST food in New Orleans!

I am searching for the spiciest restaurants and dishes in New Orleans. Any kind of food qualifies: both traditional NOLA cuisine and more ethnic varieties. I love SPICY food! The hotter, the better. Can anyone suggest where I can find the BEST of the best? Thanks.
