Japanese Cooking

I'm open to eating mostly anything except raw seafood. But I have made chicken katsu and chicken dumplings and a couple other things...Hope that helps.

Instant Oatmeal

I usually just make mine on the stove top because I have never been able to stomach instant oatmeal.Or you can bake it which is also good.Adding dried fruits and honey gives any oatmeal added boost.

Japanese Cooking

I have been getting into Japanese cooking lately and I was wondering what are some traditional dishes that they make in the colder months?I love making different kinds of cuisines because it makes dinner time more interesting..So I was wondering if anyone has any recipes or could direct me in the right direction.

What to make for a Romantic Halloween dinner for two?

My boyfriend and I usually spend Halloween with our friends either going to haunted houses or having a party. But this year he was relocated with his job to another state so we don't know anyone here yet.I was thinking of doing a special dinner for him on Halloween. But try and making it Romantic.I never thought to do this for Halloween before but I thought "hey why not?how hard could it be?"so hopefully you can help me find something romantic to make for him.I was thinking of doing a dinner and desert and maybe a special drink. We're both open to eating pretty much anything. So what do you guys think I should do?And what do you think of making a romantic Halloween dinner?I also thought we would watch some classic Halloween movies after dinner.Any suggestions for movies would be greatly appreciated also. Thanks a bunch!

Christmas at the Burrow Party (Harry Potter)

I would love to try treacle tart but I have read some of the recipes online and I don't think I could find some of the ingredients..I mean what is golden syrup? And what is treacle in the first place? Is there things I could substitute? But those are good ideas!

Christmas at the Burrow Party (Harry Potter)

I had posted awhile ago I think about having a Christmas in July party this summer.Well I also wanted to have a Harry Potter party also since the last movie is coming out in July.Well I realized I couldn't afford to have both of them.So I decided to combine the two parties and I am calling it Christmas at the Burrow.(For non-Harry Potter fans, the Burrow is the Weasley's home). And I wanna decorate and make my house be like the Burrow would be at Christmas...I am pretty good on decorations so far,I am just having trouble on food.Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Can't wait to see what you people come up with.

80's Party!!!

Ohhh,I love Rainbow sherbet punch...I make an orange variety every year for Halloween and it still is a favorite..I was thinking maybe getting some subs and making a few appetizers instead of a main dish..How do you think that would be?My work makes subs and I could get a discount.

80's Party!!!

Hi!I am planning on a 1980's themed party this summer. And I was wondering what was the big thing to bring to get togethers in the 80's?Is there anything that sticks out in your mind from back then? Not what was popular in resturants but what home cooks were making then?

All help will be greatly appreciated!
