Negroni

I love the drink but don't get enough orange with just a slice of orange peel, which, unlike a "white" drink like vodka rocks or martini, cannot make its presence "heard" against the stronger flavor profiles of the Campari and Sweet Vermouth. And...late in the summer when oranges are dried out in New York, a squeeze of lime is just fine, thank you. Perhaps I'm a barbarian, but this variation works for me.

Negroni

It's really good, but try a wedge of lime in season in place of orange.

Calvados

Thanks a million! Do you know Marquis de la Pomme?

Calvados

My wife is a flight attendant and has been trying to find some great Calvados in Paris. The best she has been able to do is Marquis de la Pomme 15 years, which beats the hell out of Busnel but is nowhere near some incredible small producer stuff I had at Post House last night. Do you know Marquis? I'll ask her to try the store you recommend.
