Wow, that brings back memories. My fafther, a"h, loved Moshe Peking, as it had the ambiance of the real Chinese restaurants which he missed from his before-kosher days. Whenever he came into New York when I was in college, he'd always suggest we go out to eat. "Where?" "Do you have to ask?" |

Ate there last night. They seem to have trouble getting the food to the table while it's still hot. My buffalo wings were of varying temperature, and although my burger was hot, my fries weren't. I overheard at least two other tables complain to the waiters that their food was cold. A shame. I love Dougie's. |

amy's kitchen products found at rockland kosher in monsey The chasidishe liquor store in Teaneck carries non-kosher products - the presence of payos does not insure kashrus. |

Philadelphia Area Kosher Caterer Needed We have used Isaac Linietsky for our wedding (Lower Merion Synagogue) and several simchas at Sons of Israel in Cherry Hill. He has always done a fantastic job and has been wonderful to work with. Jeff |

Not the most date-friendly place (zero atmosphere), but Perlin's Vegetarian on Rte 38 West has excellent felafel, paninis, pizza. |

Just came back from the Cherry Grill (http://www.cherrygrill.com/index.php). Now that Lin's Chinese has closed, it's the only local fleishigs restaurant. It is owned by the Lin, so they have retained the Chinese and Sushi as part of the menu, but also serve steaks and burgers now. The ambience is very nice - my daughter kept commenting that it seemed like a "real" (read: treif) restaurant. |

Carvel and mrs. fields at short hills mall True, but that never extended to the mall stores. |

Glassware can be kashered for Pesach via Iruy - soaking for 3 24-hour periods, changing the water each day. This applies even for Ashkenazim. |
|
|
The problem, of course, is using anything with fish in a fleishigs recipe, if you avoid eating meat and fish together. |

Found a recipe for it; scroll down a bit. |

Kosher Organic Toaster Pastries at Costco Although Trader Joe's carrier 2 flavors, Whole Foods carries another half-dozen or more flavors, all under the COR. We discovered some the kids like better than strawberry/blueberry. |

Yes, strictly kosher, Orthodox hashgacha required, etc. |

I'm not sure what kind of consistency oyster sauce has or what kind of flavor it is supposed to add, so I have no clue what I can use in its stead. |

It's only been 2 years. Lost their lease. But the Holy Land Grill got their chef. |

Since I got married (4th anniversary coming up) and moved to the other end of the world (well, the other end of the Jersey Turnpike, anyway) I've been totally out of the NY restaurant loop. |

Parents in Philly; Anniversary of Adult Child in Lakewood have you tried Max and David's in Elkins Park? I have heard really good things about the menu, ambiance, service. The only downside is I think you need a group of at least six for a reservation (can you get another couple to join you?); however several of my workmates have had luck just showing up and waiting. |

I reiterate - I have a jar of McCormick's Smoked Paprika wth an OU. |
|
|
Did the McCormick's lose its hechsher? I have a jar of it which I bought recently (within the last two months) and it does have the OU. |

Max and Davids in Elkins Park is the nicest kosher restaurant in the Philly area |
|

Places with a sukkah in NYC area? How about nice Italian or fish dairy restaurants? We don't get any NY papers here, so I don't have access to ads, and Shamash doesn't have this kind of info. |

ShopRite and Weightwatchers make a pareve low fat muffin; they're tasteless, but when you're on a diet, you get used to it. |
