another thing I thought of that is really good is to steep tea leaves in liquor for making cocktails. try some earl grey in gin. no need to chill it, the liquor will do the work at room temp. 12 hours is good enough.

What is the most useless thing in your kitchen you won't get rid of?
cookie gun - the thing is an antique from the 50s I think - still in the orignal box, bunch of tips, it can actually make really cool cookies, total pain to clean though. I've had it 10 years - think i have used it twice. no way am i going to part with it...
