Dining suggestions pre-UCLA/Royce Hall?

Thanks all! This gives me a lot to work with.

Dining suggestions pre-UCLA/Royce Hall?

We're seeing Pina Bausch this weekend at Royce Hall (so excited) but I am really having a hard time coming up with a decent restaurant idea for that neck of the woods. Any suggestions? We'd be eating pre-curtain.

Many thanks.

Universal City lunch suggestions (oh and I'll have a 2 year old with me)!

Thank you. Next time, when the toddler stays home, I'm curious about your sushi faves in that part of town. I tend to frequent Sawtelle Ave.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'd love to do sushi, but my toddler has been known to balk at Japanese rice. Do you like Ca Del Sole? The website looks big.

A NY friend is in on business and she's staying in Universal City and she's a foodie. I'd like to take her to somewhere good and LA (read: something LA does well). It needn't be pricey. There are a couple catches though...we have to stay in the Universal City area and the restaurant has to be okay for a toddler.

Thank you.

New to LA and in search of a nice restaurant for a casual, but romantic night out (Westside, pref.)

Do you mean in the Getty Center itself? Hmmm... Was it any good? Were you there for dinner? Thanks. Interesting idea.

We got a babysitter lined up, but we haven't a clue where to go. We'd like something not too scene-ish where the food is good, and interesting, and where we can talk like adults. We're on the Westside, around Beverly Glen.

Thanks.

New (or not so new) downtown restaurant recs?

I'd also be grateful for suggestions for a downtown dinner for two. We're not rushing to make a curtain. Thanks.

New Haven Style Pizza in LA?

Thanks to you all for your suggestions. I'll check out Antica and Patsy D'Amore. And one day, Mozza.

New Haven Style Pizza in LA?

I appreciate the tip. Where is Rocco's?

New Haven Style Pizza in LA?

I'm a recent NY transplant in search of a good New Haven style pizza. I'm a big fan of Pepe's, Sally's, in NYC Lombardi's, Patsy's, John's....I've been sampling a lot of pie here in LA and so far, I can find a decent crust, but the cheese.... Has no one heard of fresh mozzarella. Please don't tell me Mozza. I want more options than the city's "hottest" restaurant.

Preferrably on the Westside that delivers.

Many thanks.
