Hummus - Prepackaged / Grocery item

After having enjoyed amazing hummus over the course of several years in London, UK, I returned to Montreal to discover that the hummus selection is pretty poor. I must be looking in the wrong places. I've tried the general selection at Metro and Costco, including various flavours (regular, red pepper, jalapeno). Nothing tastes even remotely decent. I'm a particular fan of spicy Moroccan hummus (if anybody is familiar with the UK's Sainsbury's version, you'll know what I'm talking about), but can't find something comparable that doesn't taste uber-processed. Does anybody have any recommendations? Also, I'm looking for something relatively affordable since I tend to go through a lot of hummus when I find a tasty version.

Looking for the perfect birthday cake!

I find conventional birthday cakes pretty bland/boring, so you may want to consider opting for a tasty pie. Rockaberry's is great for that. They may be able to customize a message on top, although that's more of a hope than actual knowledge. (FYI, the Queen Mary Rockaberry's moved to Monkland not so long ago.)

But if you do intend to go with an actual cake, then consider Nancy's bakery (Patisserie Nancy) on Monkland. It's excellent. Again, call first to confirm that they customize. I'm pretty sure they do.

Edamame - where to find?

I know this thread has been dry for a while, but I know how frustrating it can be to look for Edamame in big cities (I spent months trying to find it in London). So, in case anybody looks up this thread, I just wanted to add two more sources:

- There's an Asian supermarket that supplies good, cheap (got 2 packs for $3) frozen edamame, immediately to the right of the Play It Again Sports on Decarie, just below of Sherbrooke.
- Costco (if you have membership) offers Edamame as a box of about 12 single-serve packs. It's mighty convenient, but at the same time, I didn't find it as flavourful as other frozen Edamame.
