HELP! Where to buy passion fruit pulp/puree/juice in Toronto?

Thanks, everyone. I found both canned pulp (no seeds) for my passion fruit curd and frozen (with seeds) for my sauce at M & J Fruit at 1263 Dundas West, as suggested on another thread. Haven't tried either yet, but expect neither will be as flavourful as the fresh fruits. (Sigh.)

HELP! Where to buy passion fruit pulp/puree/juice in Toronto?

After a week south, I am once again reminded of how much I love, love, love passion fruit. I've tried supermarkets (and even specialty places like Pusateri's) but the fresh produce is laughable. Has anyone seen good ripe passion fruit or passion fruit frozen/juiced or pureed in any store in Toronto? I want to make a passion fruit sauce for Easter dinner.

ISO - (pink) curing salt

Thanks, all. I hope I can locate it at one of those spots!

ISO - (pink) curing salt

Ummm...pink salt IS sodium nitrite and Ruhlman uses it. Most foie gras torchon recipes use it to maintain the pink colour. I just want to know where to get it.

ISO - (pink) curing salt

Would the Readycure work for foie gras torchon? I want to make some this holiday season, but can't find the pink salt required.

just moved to etobicoke (29th st and lakeshore), any reccomendations?

I've had less than stellar experiences at both Cafe du Lac and Around the Corner. The food is good at the latter, but man oh man, the service is pathetic. The young man who took the order got just about everything wrong. It was almost funny. But for the price, NOT!!!!

The Fish and Chips shop on Fifth Street is a stone's thrown from my place--and the only place I go for fish and chips! It on the west side of Fifth Street, just noth of Lake Shore, past the parking lot.

What is this Italian deli meat called?

Would it be bresaola? That's an Italian air-dried beef that's quite wonderful.

Suggestion for a Polishing Stone for Knives

I use a natural whetstone I've had for 40 years!
