Tony and Ann's Pizza of Dracut - not your typical pizza - fantastic - since the early 50's but just recently revived.

The last time I ate at Tony and Ann's was when they were in their old location, and I really enjoyed their pizza. (Not your typical pizza, but very, very good.) I've been trying to get over to their new locale ever since they re-opened, but haven't made it yet.

I'd be curious to know how they now (with the second generation running it) stack up to Tripoli's, because I'm not a big fan of Tripoli's (although the Tripoli's that I tried was in Salisbury on the beach, so maybe the one in Lawrence is different). But, while their sauce was tasty (if you like sweet sauce), there was hardly any cheese on it (and if you ordered extra cheese, they charged you for it and then slapped a slice of provolone on top!!!!!) Tony and Ann's, on the other hand, gave you plenty of thick, gooey cheese along with the sweet sauce.

Damn! I'm going to have to get over there. I just hope that the kids can make as good a pizza as their dad did.
