Lunch and Dinner recommendations needed

I'm planning a special day out in the city but need advice. We get into Penn Station at 1220 on Sunday, and I have tickets for Wicked at 3:00.

I need recommendations for lunch that is quick enough to be to Gershwin theater by 2:45 or so but is still special and nice. I'm willing to spend up to $70 for lunch. We like Italian, French, and Mexican, but are not completely closed to other options.

For dinner, there is a lot more flexability in terms of time and location. I'd like to stay in the general vacinity of Rockefeller Center (I'm thinking we might go ice skating and I want to take her to la maison du chocolat as a final surprise before leaving from port authority bus terminal.) Again, I was thinking Italian, French, or Mexican and for dinner, I am willing to spend up to $130 or so and would like something on the nicer side. I'm willing to spend a bit more if it means getting a much better place/meal.

One complication I've been running into is a lot of places are closed on Sundays. Any help you can give me would be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

Dinner in theater district

I'm looking for a nice place for dinner for 2 near the theater district. I'd like it to be special, perhaps slightly fancy, but not ridiculously expensive. Perhaps around 70-80 for the two of us. French or Italian preferred. Thank you!

Bakery / Cake near Columbia University

I'm planning a day in NYC for my friend's birthday. She went to Columbia and always talks about this bakery type place that she used to go to and get cake. Something that might be helpful in identifying it is that she said the slices were so huge she'd always go with a friend and split the piece of cake.

Please help me! I want the whole day to be a surprise and I don't want to have to ask her the name of the place!
