Thoughts for a late dinner tonight?

I live in Chelsea and eat at bars a lot. You should be able to grab two stools or table even at:

TORO
Colicchio and Sons
Barchetta
Co.
Empire Diner
Tia Pol

Was just looking at this:

I'd grab the Untitled at 9:30 NOW - in the new Whitney.

Who owns the doggy bag in a host's refrigerator?

Considering this is the second post in less than a month from the OP on the same [petty] topic, perhaps he/she needs to invest in one of these:

Where would you go for dinner around Grand Central?

Topo Chico mineral water

Did you try googling "TOPO CHICO" NYC

I did and found a few options in the last 12 months, including:

http://www.oxido.nyc/menu/

And sometimes The Tribeca Whole Foods and The Essex Market.

No idea if there right now as I type, but it's a start, don't you think?

I see you've been contemplating this for quite a while now:

Allow yourself to arrive with an open mind, explore and try things you may not ordinarily buy. It's such a nice gift, enjoy it.

Dinner for 10 in the Village

It does not have a corporate feel at all.

You will wait a very long time as walk-ins. But depends on day of week and time of course.

Need a restaurant close to Cornell Weill 70th and York

This is a hidden gem nearby (62nd and First). They offer housemade foie and dishes made of it, should it not be too rich for you. If I lived nearby I'd visit more often. Fatty loves Foie. Best of luck with your medical issues.

Unusual desserts

This list is 3 years old - most of those listed have different desserts on menu now.

Here's a list from TONY that is more recent and comprehensive though still from Dec 2014

Unusual desserts

Aquavit. Coincidentally, also features new nordic cuisine. The pastry chef, Emma Bengtsson, is now the executive chef.

Tia Pol - Lovely tapas on a spring afternoon

Hadn't been in quite a while and stopped in with the pooch at 2 PM. (There are three stools at the end of the bar that open to the sidewalk, which allows for pets.) The garbanzo fritos are great to get started with a bottle of sidra. They have one 375 ml bottle and can't recall name.

Had:
ensaladita de pulpo - chopped up tender pulpo with white beans in nice reddish romesco sauce. Subtle flavors. Needed salt IMO - which they provided - a nice flaky sal de mar

Croquetas de manchego - good.

Chicken liver mousse on toast with a generous drizzle of Pedro Ximenez reduction - clear winner of the meal. Just great. Not too rich, even with glass of the same dark and rich Pedro Ximenez used for the reduction.

Service was so lovely and friendly - water for dog, came out to meet her (funny little pug puppy - can you blame them?)

One of the nicest al fresco NYC afternoons I've had. With tip came in at $66.

Bourdain Market - What do YOU Want to See

A tacos al pastor vendor, skillfully slicing pork and pina off the pit and slapping on flour tortillas, with all the fixins there on the bar. I know, I know about http://www.empellon.com/al-pastor/ but a fast, down and dirty option in Manhattan would be nice.
