Best Hotel Room Service in Boston....Four Seasons?

I found The Liberty food, drink and in-room dining options very good.

Second date in Chelsea/Flatiron

Barchetta is a much prettier, larger space. Better option.

A Tale of 2 Restaurants on Christmas Day

SD26 was one of my worst lunches in 2014. Hate the decor, the menu and the food was mediocre. The stupid iPad wine list reminds me of a suburban chain restaurant.

prix fixe lunches?

Today I had the $35 prixe fixe at Maialino. Any of the antipasti, any of the primi or secondi, 3 great cookies. They're offering the Barolo bar too with some great gems by the glass, quartino or bottle.

Best lunch of 2014 for me.

Latin American Desserts?

There is a Mexican bakery on 9th ave in the 40s called Leon Bakery. There are lots of great latino bakeries in Queens if that is an option.

For recipes you might which to cross post on the Home Cooking Board.

Affordable Rehearsal Dinner.. Please help!

Pounds and Ounces might be able to cordon off the back area. Food is average but space is lovely -always great floral arrangements - and Chelsea location is perfect.

Lively birthday dinner

I think Dutch will suit you fine. I like their food and cocktails. Ample portions. Good crowd. Can be loud in front room though. Not shouting levels.

Children in bars

Nope. You cant go to bars with him.

We were in NOLA for Christmas last year and were asked to leave when walking into a few Bourbon Street places with two teenaged boys (seniors in HS). We were permitted at Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop.

What can I say? I'm a bad aunt.

Upper East Side Restaurants

In that area of UES (the lower west part of that designation) there are not any 'must trys' except for very high end, Daniel. Ten blocks south, Aquavit and The Modern. Marea more west and south but still within reasonable travel. As is Betony.

Sure there are some fine options that will serve you, but few 'must trys' right in that area.

You are in a very lovely area nonetheless, for shopping primarily.

Which restaurant have you eaten at the most?

I wholeheartedly agree with Trockwood. I find everyone so fun, funny and approachable. Not wine geeky at all, which sometimes I can be when faced with a wonderfully esoteric list such as theirs.

Asiate or somewhere else?

Asiate is not a top tier dining experience in NYC. It's just not and no one will argue that it is. It does have a lovely view of Central Park.

Lunch is the perfect time to enjoy one of our fine dining options for less than $100.

kathryn suggested a few that ARE top tier:
del Posto
Jean Georges
Bouley

Others:
Daniel
Marea
Betony
The Modern

(I am not sure you can can get out of all at under $100)

Why not post this on NY State board? No one is going to know each other's places.
