Restaurants that offer A La Carte menu on Valentine's Day??

My hubby and I want to go out for Valentine's Day, anywhere in GTA, but we don't like Prix Fix Menu's, can anyone recommend some restaurants that have a la carte menu's on Valentine's Day. We'd like to stay below 150.00 for 2 people.

tiny bone in cooked fish. Is that bad???????

Yes restaurants try to save money, they do that by buying the whole fish from the fisherman and gutting/deboning/scaling it themselves at the restaurant, the problem with that is: restaurant staff are not trained in how to proper;y gut, debone, and scale a fish, the only people who should be doing that are the fisherman, but restaurants don't like to pay for that added service. I am the daughter of a fisherman and have lived off fish, and I hate bones in my fish. Properly cleaned, scaled, and deboned fish should never have smaller fine bones left behind, if you find those, it's because the fish was deboned by someone who didn't have the skill to do it right. Some people may not mind having bones in their fish, but the when a restaurant is serving the fish deboned/filleted then it should/must be completely free of bones. Unless they're serving the fish whole, or as a fish steak, in which case it's not deboned or skinned, etc.

What are the best sausages?

I have tried many store bought sausages and I don't like any of them, but I love the sausages from street vendors, can someone please tell me how/where to buy good sausages, what to look for, what to stay away from, and whether or not they sell the vendor type sausages in stores, etc. I don't know anything about sausages, and would like to learn.

Roasted Cherries, Store Bought

I want to make a dessert that calls for roasted cherries, but i can't go through the work of pitting a bunch of cherries one at a time, does anyone know if roasted cherries can be bought in the store in a jar or can, already pitted? OR, does anyone know if there is any kind of cherry pitter available that will pit a bunch of cherry at once instead of having to do them one at a time?

Restaurants who will do separate bills for large groups (25-40 people) ???

I understand it requires effort on the part of the restaurant......but really it comes down to customer service.....I'm in business and I bend over backwards to please and accomodate my clients, regardless of how much effort it takes.

What's the best Balsamic and where can I buy it ?

Where can I find the best Balsamic, the one that's thick, and sweet tasting, not grocery store stuff that's like vinegar.

Restaurants who will do separate bills for large groups (25-40 people) ???

Anyone know of restaurants in the Toronto area that will do separate bills for groups of 25-40 people? I plan dining out events for a social club on a monthly basis and have a lot of trouble finding restaurants that are willing to do separate bills. It would be a nightmare for me to try to calculate what each person owes (been there, tried that). And members don't like pre set menu's. Anyone have any suggestions ? We're ok with them adding the gratituity to each person's bill automatically.

I don't know why restaurants make it so difficult on patrons, you'd think they'd go the extra mile to get that kind of business, but they don't...I guess the restaurant business is so lucrative these days that they have no issue turning away business.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
