Best Middle Eastern food in Dearborn area?

Folks, Al Sultan on Inkster Rd. in Garden City has some of the finest mid-east cuisine served in this area. The hummus is the best I've ever had. Never had a bad meal there and prices are very reasonable. I would recommend the Sultan combo for two, it has all of their" big hitters" including falafel, stuffed grape leaves, a Lebanese salad and hommous on one platter. Great! Owner Dave Hachem will treat you right.

Miller's Burgers - Really? [Dearborn MI]

As far as relying on Chow Hound why not? I have wasted time and money on countless of establishments that serve crap. I probably should let them know about their food ,but I think they already know and really don't care. I still venture out to try some new joint, but when I gotta have some good grub I use a recommendation. Maybe instead of raving about the places we like, we ought to list the places we tried and hated. And thank you JP for all the leg work and stomach aches.

The Best Coney in Detroit area

Hello John, There is an authentic Russian restaurant on Orchard Lake between 14 mi. and Maple called The Fidler. The food there is good , but pricey. Most of the their menu is very similar to the food that is offered at Polonia ( a Polish restaurant in Hamtramck ) I prefer to go there. хорошая еда (Good Eating) Murro

The Best Coney in Detroit area

Now that Sonic has started serving their classic hotdogs I'm wondering if anyone has tried them? Which are tasty and why? The Chicago-style dog looks authentic and my guess for the best of the lot. The coney dog just don't look that appetizing.

Coney's in Detroit; a question

I love Sandy's, but their coneys are sub-par. The hotdogs they use are on the mushy side and lack the snap of a good vienna style dog. However, at 50 cents apiece I don't complain.

The Best Coney in Detroit area

Plato's Place on Ford Rd. in Garden City has been serving the best coneys in the area for over 40 years. Their snappy hot dogs are grilled to perfection and topped with a very authentic and flavorful chili, mustard and onions. Great Greek food also and generous portions at reasonable prices.
