Need dinner rec's for dinner before heading to JFK?

Love Craft.....but you can't be spontaneous there unless you want to eat at 5:30 or 10pm.... But agree its a good option for a planned visit!

We aren't looking to stay downtown necessarily. Just enjoy good food and a nice bourbon list!

Breakfast in Georgetown

I'm sorry that has been your experience, obviously if it had been mine I wouldn't have recommended it. My only reservation on suggesting it is as mentioned that it is on the expensive side, especially for breakfast. My daughter lives in Georgetown but went to Americsn University and we frequented the one down the street most often . I have ordered their omelets more often than anything and found it to be consistant. Free wifi, so a good place to sit over a good cup of coffee/ a pastry ;)

Breakfast in Georgetown

Le Pain Quotidien there are several locations including one in Georgetown. You may either grab quick French pastry with coffee to go or sit down breakfast. A little pricey but have had consistent luck;)

Best Chocolate Cake in Boston

This is the best chocolate cake.....have tried everywhere to beat it. My husband and I share it mostly at the Coach Grill in Wayland .

You will not be disappointed......served with a scoop of coffee ice cream and I challenge you to find better. It is moist, rich and definitely large enough to share.....we usually bring half home!

Thanks....your suggestions are spot onfor Thursday and in the future. I am including his roommate so I think I will save the "top of the line" for a special night out for him in the future. He actually lives above ABV and loves it. I think I will shoot to take them to Peri Ela.....again thanks. if you have any other info about neighborhood and places to go pass along. as mentioned he just moved in and would love to shorthand the research!

Help with dinner rec's this Saturday

Actually. I do have a reservation at Rogue24 but there seems to be mixed reviews on the boards. I also am holding a reservation with Equinox.

Obviously I need to pull the trigger here. we will start the evening at POV with a drink. I find the DC "chow's" to have the best advice.....we have had some of our nicest evenings in the District from
the advice on the board. If you can help me any further I would appreciate it.

Help with dinner rec's this Saturday

Coming into DC from Boston to celebrate my daughter's birthday and her first job. She and I love the DC food scene and consider ourselves lucky to have hit some of the best. Proof, Zatinya, Brasserie Beck, Blue Duck Tavern, Palena, Fiola, Rashika and Central to name a few.

Would love to check out something new. I have been trying to read through some threads and am trying to decide and thought maybe asking myself would save time reading!

Rogue24, CityZen, Corduroy....seem to come up often when asked this type of request.

I look forward to your advice.

DC this weekend!

My husband and daughter checked out PS7 Saturday night and were underwhelmed.
Drinks, apps, and service were great. Dinner was not good at all in fact manager comped their meal. Don't know if it was an off night or because of the recent storm with power outages but husband ordered the paella and said it was terrible and my daughter ordered the duck med rare and it came out well done.
At any rate our daughter lives in Georgetown and we have always had wonderful meals thanks to "chowhound" so we will forgive this one misstep!

Lineage in Brookline or Marliave?

Haven't been to either of these restaurants. We enjoy good food/wine list.
Have been hitting all the "big name" restaurants for a couple of months and just want to try something different but not trade off good food, wine and service.

Thanks in advance;)
PS feel free to throw out another suggestion .
