Looking for a great find in Indianapolis

Heya!

Got a question that might be a little hard to answer. My dad is always eating value menu junk out of fast food places like Micky D's, Wendy's and Burger King. I really want him to stop but.. Unfortunately that's the only thing we can really afford a lot of the time. Meals under 4 bucks.

We live in the Broad Ripple area so we're pretty much centralized

I know there's the steak and shake 4 dollar meal, but you know.. We're looking for something better. Filling also.. It being a Local place is also a plus.

Korean Community?

I've been surfing around the net looking for anything Korean in NOLA but... Haven't found much. The family has been here before, but we've spent most of our time in the French Quarter and didn't really wander out to find anything Korean like we usaully do on vacations. Any recommendations?

What I'm looking for:
Korean Grocery,
A Solid Korean Restaurant
(maybe) a Korean Bakery/Coffeeshop

Doesn't have to be well known, or super popular, we love the Ma and Pa type places. <3

Keeping bread in a proof box.

Of course, I do understand that. Humidity also plays a factor also but I guess I stated my question kind of wrong. How fast do you think it would mold? If kept in a warmer, as if in a restaurant?

and if that's not a good temp and humidity then what is?

Keeping bread in a proof box.

Would keeping bread in a proof box (Warmer) with 40% Humidity at about 80° with a moist clothe on top accelerate the mold rate? I was told it would but I doubt it.

Do cakes get a mealy texture when frozen?

Thank you babette. If a mealy texture isn't caused through freezing then why does cake a cake turn mealy?

I came up with these ideas and I've been searching but I couldn't really find anything online for the recipes.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions that could help or if anyone knows a delish recipe that could contribute

Chocolate Truffle Meringue Cake.

Decorated with a golden leaf nouget, chocolate maroon with ganache.

Possible thinking of putting some kind of meringue mousse for the layers
Something light but thick and flavorful.

A Strawberry Rhubarb Consume with mascarpone panacotta and sea salt caramal

Rustic Apple and Pear tart w/ Bourbon crème fraiche

Crème Brule Flight w/Vanilla bourbon and Chocolate Pistachios
