Milan, 2 lunches 2 dinners, bakeries and dessert!

Yes, Spontini is great, but keep in mind that it's a relaxed atmostphere and serves thicker pizza by the slice. Piccola Ischia is also great, but the restaurant offers a more traditional pizzeria service and individual pizzas like in many pizzerias around Milano.

Don't know much anything about Al Rifugio Pugliese, but most bar/caff├ęs in the city have relatively cheap lunch prices to cater to people working in the area.

I can recommend 2 websites in English, Spotted by Locals and MilanoZine.

Quick Milan visit

barberinbee, I'm looking for a good Thai place in Milan, what are your recommendations? I already know of a few great sushi places, but would love to find a Thai restaurant.

Recommendations Milano

Just to give my 2 cents: international food in Milano can be pretty good, especially Turkish doner kebabs (which are very cheap) and a few Brazilian churrascarias. There are lots of Chinese restaurants but it's hard to be sure of quality. In addition, there's an Eritrean restaurant near Porta Venezia, Massawa, , which has been there forever and is an interesting experience.

It's up to you if you want to try any of these international places while you're in Milano or just stick with good Italian food.

As for places with students, rockers, etc. definitely head to the Navigli area! It's where everyone goes to get an aperitivo and hang out and it's very picturesque.

I Don't Like Cheese - Am I Alone?

Exactly! I never put cheese on my own plate of risotto or pasta (but I do add Parmigiano to risotto I'm serving to other people). And I love hunks of Parmigiano but itself!

I can completely understand liking melted cheese but not raw cheese since I feel the opposite.

I Don't Like Cheese - Am I Alone?

I disagree. I personally LOVE cheese, but am not a fan of COOKED cheese (though when cooked cheese is on pizza, it's pretty good). There are plenty of foods that have melted cheese that I really don't like, though I do love cheese on a cheese plate.

Cheese is fundamentally different after it melts.
