Benihana alternatives?

I would like to take my boyfriend to a "hibachi-style" restaurant and I have heard that Benihana is not so good. I don't know of any other places like that in Manhattan. Any suggestions? Thanks.

One NYC cupcake

My picks...anything from Billy's and the mocha cupcake (and only the mocha) from Cupcake Cafe. Buttercup is pretty good but sometimes a little dense depending on the flavor. Crumbs are way too dry.

Dinner in Columbus Circle

Landmarc is excellent. Lots of very affordable wines to choose from. Food is great and reasonably priced (compared to the other places in Time Warner). Solid choice.

Suggestions in/near Hell's Kitchen

Can't decide where to go for dinner tomorrow night. No major cuisine preferences. My price range is roughly $50-$60 pp. I have been leaning towards a great steak (what do you think about Quality Meats???) or maybe some sort of eclectic fare or tapas. I'm in the mood to indulge but not go way over the top.

Best cocktails in the city?

I went to Flatiron on Friday. Great drinks but second to Pegu in my opinion. Stanton Social is pretty good too. What are the prices like at Litle Branch and Employees Only?

Reasonable dinner for 2?

Both of these places have meals to die for. Both Italian. VERY reasonable prices.

Malatesta in the West Village is fantastic. Very charming place.

Inoteca on the Lower East Side is also wonderful. Excellent dishes for sharing.

Best cocktails in the city?

Ok.....so I am looking for some new bars/cocktail lounges that have really amazing drinks. I have been to Pegu Club and East Side Company and both have great ones. Any other places in the city you can recommend? I am thinking about trying Flatiron Lounge this weekend- how are the drinks/prices?

Best dessert bar in the city?

I would love to take my boyfriend our for an amazing dessert "experience" and need some suggestions as to where to take him. Payard is a bit too pricey and not super-inventive. I really like the concept of Landmarc (offering miniaturized desserts so you can try different things). I have heard great things about Chickalicious and Room 4 Dessert (I heard it closed?). I'm not particular on any one area in the city and I would prefer not to spend more than $20 pp. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
