What's a good "show off" type restaurant..
hmm that's actually a good question.. kinda all of those things.. hip, hot spot, decor.. just like a really good restaurant that hits all those spots and certainly good food! a type of restaurant you take people to impress them on your restaurant choosing capability :)

bachelorette party in Waikiki. Help!
Hi,
I'm planning on throwing a bachelorette party in Waikiki for my best friend. The Bride is local so I want to try to take her somewhere that's not too tourist. Somebody told me to check out the restaurants in the Aloha Tower? I'm open to all suggestions within the Waikiki area. We're going to have 9 girls. We want a casual fun place with good food and good drinks that not too pricey max $20 buck for an entree but rather have a place that serves Pupus or taps. Please help i'm clueless!
What to order at Alta and a nearby bar for after dinner.
Going to Alta tommorrow night. Have been there a bunch before but would love to get you recommendations for dishes. The brussles sprouts and fried goat cheese are my favorites.
I also need a fun bar nearby. Wanted to door a rooftop but doesn't have to be. Don't want anything too pretentious or pricey. Any suggestions??

Romantic Recession Friendly Restaurants?
I need restaurant for my anniversary and I want it to be somewhere fancy-ish and defintely romantic and I don't want to be spending $45 on entree. I'm looking for a restaurant that would have entrees in the $18-$25 range maybe. Any ideas?
Centro Vinoteca or The Harrison?
My sisters and I are getting together for dinner. 2 of us are big foodies and the other is semi-foodie but generally cares more about the atmosphere then the food ( a fight we have a lot with her!)
Anyways I've made reservations for dinner at both and I haven't been to either before. I just want some opinions on food and atmosphere at both places and which one you think we should go to.
Thanks :)
dinner with my sisters
we are big foodies but we also love fun atmosphere (i.e. fun music, good drinks, nice ambience) ..we're trying to avoid big restaurants looking for something little cozy and that's not impossible to get a reservation.. any good suggestions?
hidden gem restaurant in manhattan?

Thought I had the perfect place for my birthday but...
Hi!
I am trying to find the perfect place to celebrate my 24th birthday. I had wanted to go to the Casablanca Tea Room in Soho as I read a lot of good things about that place and the room looked awesome and it sounds really different and fun. However.. it just closed down! So now I have to think of somewhere else and I would love any suggestions you can offer. There will be a group of 8-9 of us. I really want somewhere that has a good selection of appetizers/ tapas but also a full menu. I think 50 bucks a person would be around what I am looking for. I would really love somewhere around the west village, soho, or meat packing but I'm open to anything. Last year I went to Havana Alma de Cuba and loved it, but I would like to try something new and a little different so maybe not cuban/spanish food..however.i'm not absolutly opposed to it as I really enjoy that type of cuisine. I really want nice/different atmosphere and I love music all kinds so it be great if you could suggest any place that might have live..but that's not a must have. The 3 most important things to me are the food, the atmosphere and the service.. okay i need to stop rambling on now.. Thanks in advance for your suggestions :)
