Sorry, they're served on the side. Or sprinkled on top, whatever you want to do with them.... ;-D |

I've had my OneTouch for almost a year now, and it opens all except the largest jars. I LOVE it. It's small enough to stay in a basket on the counter, but it's mighty. I set it on the top of the jar, push the black button until I hear it's little motor going, and walk away to keep working until I hear the "pop" of the lid opening. And it was only $20! |

Cooking spaghetti in beef broth? Good points. I'd use chicken broth before beef broth, I think. |

Giant cheesecake in a foil pan Maybe we could have a thread of recipes for that serve 20-25 people? I cook for the commuters at our local college once a week, and it certainly would be nice to only have to make one or two items. |

In 2009, I requested money gift cards for all gift giving occasions, and finally bought myself a KitchenAid Artisan. In 2010, I did it again and got a FoodSaver vacuum food system, a bunch of bags/rolls, and a pair of shoes I wanted. It sure beats the heck out of all the tcotchkes. |

In need of rice cooker introduction Get a Black & Decker steamer. I use mine at least twice weekly to either steam vegetables or make rice. It makes great rice. |

I have a 16 quart Presto that I got to can home made soups, and it became slippery slope, leading to making the broth first from a whole chicken or several ham shanks. Then, before I knew it, I was making 1.5-2 gallons of soup at a time. I mean, if you're gonna do it, make it worth while. |

Best place to buy Chinese ingredients in Pittsburgh area? Oh, take me into home cooking territory any day. LOLOL I always thought that the correct spelling was Szechuan, but this lovely recipe that I have to try spells it differently. I hope that isn't a sign. ;-D |
