Suggestions for day trip

Ate at the La Pizza and La Pasta café. There were 3 of us so we ordered the buffalo mozzarella pizza and 2 pasta dishes and shared. Worked out as just the right amt. of lunch for all of us. Pasta special was a meat filled ravioli bathed in a brown butter and sage sauce. Yum! (and not overwhelming with sage.) Finished with gelato in the park across the street on a beautiful Sept. day in NY. What's not to like!?

Suggestions for day trip

just wanted to thank everyone for their input. Ended up with a great lunch at Eataly. Got there before noon and were seated right away. Ended up with a lovely early supper at Etcetera, Etcetera. Had been to Vice Versa and I think we liked this even better. Seated in the upstairs dining room (again, early, after the matinee) so it was very pleasant after the hubbub of theater district/Times Square. Superb fish entrees and wonderful kale and apple salad as a starter. Wonderful day in the city!

Suggestions for day trip

It's just a day trip this time for a Sat. matinee of Trip to Bountiful. Coming into Penn Station around 11 AM. Any suggestions for lunch before the show and/or early dinner afterwards? Taking a late train back. We were thinking of a quick trip down to Eataly for lunch although I know that can get insanely crowded. Maybe West Bank Café for afterwards. Don't want tourist-y. Don't particularly want ethnic. Love to try new and interesting places in Manhattan. Don't mind paying for good food. Thoughts?
Thanks.

Suggestions for dinner pre-opera

Yes, 12/27, 2 people, we like to dine at interesting places when we come to NY and are willing to spend $40-50 per person. Opera is at 7:30. Not really into Asian, Indian cuisine but open to just anything else.

Place for brunch and/or after theater meal

Just wanted to say thanks for the recommendations. We had a light lunch at Fig and Olive with a very helpful waiter who had great suggestions for us first-timers. Dinner at Vice Versa after the show was lovely. Quiet and relaxing esp. after fighting the crowds on the streets in the theater district. We both did the restaurant week prix fixe meals and thought they were a great value.

Place for brunch and/or after theater meal

Going to church at St. Thomas 5th Ave. next Sun. and then matinee of How to Succeed at Hirschfeld theater on W. 45th. Looking for a place walkable from the church for a nice brunch/lunch and/or a good spot for a light after theater meal. Or are we better off in the theater district for both?
Thanks.

Pizza/Sub Shop In Ocean City MD

I second the vote for SouthSide Deli. They're in West Ocean City as well as in Ocean Pines. Fresh, creative sandwiches and real Italian deli meats and condiments. Locally owned business--they do a great job but would definitely give them some lead-time esp. in season.

Looking for a good place in Chesapeake Va

A group of us (all adults) make an overnight stop in Chesapeake VA on our way to OBX vacation. Looking for a nice, preferably non-chain restaurant for Sat. night dinner. We stay near Greenbrier Parkway. Seafood, American, approximate price range of $15-25. Bar preferred. Any suggestions?
