Peter Luger as a vegetarian?

I went. I ate salad and a hot fudge sundae. I ate a couple of fries and then remembered about the tallow. I think that just breathing Peter Lugar air probably counts as eating meat. I had fun w/my friends. I enjoyed the retro room, I found the waiters to not be as gruff as reported, I was awed by how expensive it was (my friends treated me, since my bit was ridiculous compared to their bit). The experience brought me back to the NY or the cranky, opinionated cab drivers of the '70s. I'm glad I went, I'll never go again.

Peter Luger as a vegetarian?

Sometimes restaurants are acccomodating and will have unlisted stuff. Does PL or is it just what is on the menu.

Peter Luger as a vegetarian?

Hi,

Friends have made reservation for group at Peter Luger. I want to go (to hang out w/friends), but just checked out the menu, they really don't have much of a menu. Just steak and sides. I'm okay w/eating salad, but am I better off skipping this?

What's the meal made 'specially for you' ...and you have to choke it down?

I helped someone recently arrived from Romania get a job. To thank me he made dinner for me which starred: pasta with kidneys! Did not chew, but I ate it!

Never had kidneys before, never will have them again. Can't say I know what they taste like though!
