Viking, Themador, DCS or Blue Star, what's the best?

I also have to vent about my DCS stove. I've had so many problems with my oven that the company i replaced it. That was back in 2004. I've had at least 7 repairs with my new stove, which is old now. The lastest problem is my oven goes to 700 degrees at any set temp. I also always have problems with the burners lighting, they are also replacing one of them. Racks that don't come out smooth, broiler replaced. Now the heat sheild melted so that also has to be replaced. This repair is approx. $700.00. I have sent them all my receipts but are missing a few receipts, of course the up to date ones I can't find and the appliance repair store only keeps records up to a year. So my advice, DON'T BUY A DCS STOVE. This review will save you headaches.

Italian Pork Store Bella Italia in Spotswood/Monroe

I was surprised also with the way they handled it. i just left the food that i dragged there on the counter and walked out. It doesn't take much to lose a good customer. I use to buy my sausage and other things there, buy I've been going to Curluccio's on Route 9 in Marlboro, they have the best chicken patties. I was just near there the day before, so I was lazy to go back, that's why I went to Bella Italia. Next time I won't be lazy. Is livotti's in Matawan, if so, that's a little far for me, but I go to Abate Bakery. I could always make another stop if that pork store is really good.

Italian Pork Store Bella Italia in Spotswood/Monroe

I'm not sure if I handled this right. I purchased beef and sausage and other goodies for Easter. I cooked, how I always cook my Sunday sauce with the sausage I purchased at this pork store. When it was time to eat, we all thought the sausage way really salty, where you couldn't eat it. I called the store this morning and the woman told me it's was the person who made it's call, on what to do. So I packed it and brought the sausage back to the pork store. He told me, he's been making sausage since he was a small child, ok, that's a good thing. Now, my problem, he told me since I was the only one who complained, that the woman would take my number to see if anyone else complained. So, I told them I knew what that meant, that they would not do a thing. So I'm writing on this board, I guess just to vent. I will never go there again. To me that was bad business. If you eat in a restaurant, and you complain about a meal, do you have to wait till someone else complains before they offer you a substituion.

Johnny B's Diner in Freehold

Thanks for the info about Tony's, as for the homefries, i don't eat potatoes so that won't bother me that there not good. I do eat pancakes, how are tony's. i've tried many diners in the surrounding area's and i think most of them can't even make a good omelete. That's why i really liked Johnny B's. I't didn't bother me that i've seen decor like this, as long as it's clean. I just know that my family liked the burgers and I had a veg omelete with cheese and it was cooked well, not like some other diner's that warm the vegs and it feels like they're raw. I'm open for other good diner suggestions.I don't care for Applebee type food.

CAFE LUNA OF OLDBRIDGE, NEW JERSEY

ICOULDN'T WAIT TO TRY IT. I'M FROM SI, AND LOVED THE FOOD. MAYBE I'M OLD SCHOOL, BUT WHEN YOU WALKED IN, THE RESTAURANT WAS VERY LOUNGY AND MODERN. THEY SAT US AGAINST THE WALL WITH THE TABLES FOR TWO, WHICH WERE ALL LINED UP. IT WAS SO TIGHT THAT WHEN THE PERSON GOT UP HE KNOCKED OUR MENU OFF AND THE BUTTER WENT FLYING ALMOST ON MY HUSBANDS LAP. WE WERE SO DISAPPOINTED. STARTING WITH THE FRIED CALAMARI, WHICH WAS RUBBERY, AND THIS APARAGUS SALAD WHICH WAS BITTER. I ORDERED THE FILET OF SOLE OREGANATA, THAT WAS GOOD, IT CAME WITH 3 BITE SIZE CHUNKS OF POTATOES, AND BROCOLLI. MY HUSBAND HAD THE FUZZILI WITH A MEAT SAUCE, BUT IT WAS ROTTELLI INSTEAD AND IT WAS OK. THE SERVICE WAS NOT GOOD. SHE NEVER CAME BACK TO GIVE US CHEESE, OR ASK IF WE WANTED ANYTHING ELSE TO DRINK. IT GOES ON AND ON, COULDN'T WAIT FOR THE CHECK, AND YES WE HAD TO WAIT. SO DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER FOR DESSERT. YES IT WAS MY ANNIVERSARY SO THE ONLY THING THAT WAS PLESANT WAS THE COMPANY. WE LEFT AND WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR DESSERT. EXCUSE SPELLING ERRORS. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK.

Restaurants in Monroe, New Jersey

Lobster shanty has been replaced, which is a good thing, for another bar/grill type. The parking lot is alway crowded, but haven't tried the place yet. There are two pizza restaurants I recommend. The first one is in Bocca's not sure about spelling. On route 537 in Freehold, next to the Raintree shopping center. Crispy crust, very good flavor. The next one is Solla Bella in Jackson. I'm from Brooklyn, can't compare, but very good. Enjoy.
