New Nigella Lawson show on TLC It is - but hopefully, people in the states will ask for it and it might find it's way here (fingers crossed) |

Most delicious seafood restaurant? GW Fins has great seafood http://www.gwfins.com/nola/ |

Dinner for Six Girls in Uptown Boucherie is what I'd consider casual gourmet - great service and creative dishes. Seemed pretty popular with the younger crowd when I was there. http://www.boucherie-nola.com/ ----- |

Saveur Creole in Montclair is delicious and I believe the owner is from Haiti. http://saveurcreolerestaurant.com/ |

Perfect! I've been meaning to go :) |

Prune Brunch: Always good and comforting I hear such great things about Prune but every time I think of trying the place, I look at their menu and wonder why it's so popular - so far haven't seen anything I would like to eat there but I'll continue to keep an open mind... |
|
|
I see some liked campusfoodie.com - it's now gone :( |
|
|
what is the most useless gadget in your kitchen my most useless was the oxo goodgrips Rolling Herb Mincer http://amzn.to/mkdxSy - the plastic cover was permanently attached so you couldn't clean behind it - I threw it out. now I think the most useless is a garlic peeler I have - I just smash my cloves to get the skin off. |

Hell's Kitchen International Food Festival This Weekend http://www.hellskitchen.bz/informatio... Who's going??? I'll be there noshing away - faves from last year were the dosas and Greek pastries from Poseidon Bakery. If you've been before, what recs can you offer that I should not miss? ----- |

Went in to try their cuban sandwich - it was tiny and expensive. Three bites worth of food and I was left starving. Would not recommend :( |

Aroma has seriously gone downhill since their move to Montclair. They've dumbed down the flavors and nothing tastes like what it use to. They tend to focus more on their catering business than the restaurant. I'm holding out hope for Brick Lane which is suppose to open soon. |

Pho (Vietnamese noodles) in New Jersey? Huong Viet in Nutley http://www.yelp.com/biz/huong-viet-nutley is much better - they also have a version of pho with chargrilled pork that is to die for! Yes, the service can be a little slow depending on who's working and the given night - but their food is really good and I like the atmosphere better than the place on Belleville Ave. |

cakewrecks is insanely hilarious but not technically a food blog I think http://www.offalgood.com/chris-blog by Chris Cosentino is very interesting http://www.youtube.com/user/BitchinKi... is Bitchin Kitchen's youtube channel which has many great videos - they don't have a blog :( |
|

I have a little experince in running a foodie blog ;) and suggest you keep the name short, simple and catchy. collegefoodie.com is taken but campusfoodie is avail and is broad enough so that you can include campus area eatery/bar reviews and maybe even a behind the scenes at the cafeteria or student foodie cookoff to benefit a charity/school organization. And don't forget to link to all appropriate social media platforms. good luck and feel free to send me a message if you need any advice! |

Husband in NOLA...what ingredients/foods should I have him bring back for me? olive salad is VERY easy to make at home, it's just spanish olives, pepperoncini and giardiniera chopped up (I don't even add the kalamattas) with evoo and I think lemon juice. |
|
|
Husband in NOLA...what ingredients/foods should I have him bring back for me? I always bring back Louisiana Crawfish Boil (powder not liquid) I like to boil veggies in it. Louisiana BBQ Shrimp seasoning mix, Louisiana Gold Horseradish pepper sauce, community coffee, pepper jelly. Just don't shop at the French Quarter Market - prices are insane there, find a grocery store instead, Rouses is good. |

Thanks Linda! Etxebarri is most definately on my list - a very looong list. And I know about all the work that goes into a blog, me gots one too! BTW, do you have a twitter or facebook profile - would love to follow. |

I'd recommend: L'Auberge Du Gormand - super nummy Would not recommend: BTW, not sure if they still do it regularly but Waikiki has their 'dancing girls' come out and dance on the customer's tables - here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFCd2X... Best place to stay - Grand Case Beach Club (but not if you like to party) |

She does talk about wine but can't pronounce som·me·lier - she says so·ma·lee·er |
|

Great concept - the food in Argentina and all of South America for that matter is super tasty BUT...too bad about the host. Caitlin seems like a nice girl but something about her manner of speaking is soooo annoying I couldn't stand to watch another episode. Hope they turn this into a series but with another host, sorry Caitlin but the others I watch the show with also had the same thoughts :( |
