50+ Taps for Husband
Well we will be in Center City Philly Next Sunday so I hope to try Farmer's Cabinet or Varga as I mentioned above. Thank you for your suggestions!
50+ Taps for Husband
Thank you everybody! You are right, its not so much 50+ taps that I was looking for. QUALITY is better than quantity but sometimes the larger the quantity the better choices. My husband is a Beer Snob. He currently favors Magic Hat and other quality craft beers but they are so hard to find sometimes. I am hoping to try Teresa's or Capone's this weekend. And then Farmer's Cabinet or Varga next weekend! Or do you have better suggestions. I just found this list,

can anybody second The Dandelion, Fork & Barrel or Johnny Brenda's?
Sesame PLace - Anything close to get food with kids?
Also, A Little Dragon by the Giant Supermarket and China Garden in Floral Vale have good Chinese.
Sesame PLace - Anything close to get food with kids?
If you want a Non-chain near Sesame Place, go to JB Dawson's in Langhorne, Issac's in Newtown, La Stalla, The Saloon and Duck Sauce in Newtown, Carlucci's, Yardley Inn and Christine's in Yardley. Also there is the Bridgetown Mill House between Newtown and Langhorne. I live in the area and have for a very long time. These are better than any chain restaurant. Also Piccolo Trattoria opened up in Flowers Mill just south on route one at maple avenue.
Dinner Between New Hope (Lambertville) and King of Prussia
Can anybody help me find a place to meet friends half way between New Hope/Lambertville and King of Prussia? We were going to do Iron Hill Brewery in Montgomeryville and Ooka in Motgomeryville or Willow Grove but I am wondering if there are any other options. Perhaps someplace new to try? The only type of food we do not want is Seafood, Indian or Thai. Most other types are acceptable and of course no fast food either. Thank you in advanced.
Vegetarian Ragu
No, I'll stick to the original recipe, Rachel Ray's Creamy Polenta with Veggie Ragu from her 2,4,6,8 Great Meals for Couples or Crowds book. Just wish I knew if I was making it right.
brunch in bucks county?
Anybody have a good recommendation for a ladies brunch with mimosas? Middle bucks or some montgomerywould be a goodlocation
Vegetarian Ragu
Sorry its been awhile, but its January again, and cold, so it I think some warm Ragu over Polenta sounds perfect now. What if we, my husband and I don't like Mushrooms? Would any of your recipes work without them?
Mini Loaf Recipes for Christmas Gifts
I bought a bunch of pretty mini loaf pans and I'm looking for some good recipes to make for them.
I have bought some Christmas Morning Tea to go with it. Does anybody know of any cake recipes that can be made into multiple mini loafs? In the past I have done Pumpkin Bread and Monkey Bread (not in the mini loafs) so I am looking for something perhaps my friends can enjoy on Christmas Morning, before or while opening gifts because we all know how long it takes and how hungry we are that we can't wait to have something!
Thanks!
Sit By A Fire With Friends? Special Bar/Restaurant Happenings for Christmas?
I didn't think of the Malvern Inn, haven't been there since friends were married there. Good Idea and I'll check out the Fenix. Thanks for all the help; I appreciate it. We all decided to go to the Joseph Ambler Inn. Will write me review afterwards. Happy Holidays!
Mid-town Lunch/Brunch
Is Cipriani worth going to? Do they have Bellini's there and are they as good as the ones in Venice? Wish I could go back to Venice again to get some.
Sit By A Fire With Friends? Special Bar/Restaurant Happenings for Christmas?
Anybody know if you can actually sit by the fire at Mad River in Manayunk?
Sit By A Fire With Friends? Special Bar/Restaurant Happenings for Christmas?
We've been to The Plough before and they can get very noisy! Love the stripped bass there though! Will have to talk my husband into a date night there. Wish I could find a place like that in Manhattan.
Cosi-Newtown, PA or other locations?
Does anybody know if either Cosi locations in Newtown, PA have a fireplace? Or perhaps of any other locations that do?
Sit By A Fire With Friends? Special Bar/Restaurant Happenings for Christmas?
Thanks, for a Friday night, it might be too far for everybody but I'll keep it in mind for a double date with my Malvern friends. The fact that it has the fireplace and it is BYOB sounds great!
Pumpkin Martinis - or other fall specialty drinks - in Media
I would also love to know where one can get a pumpkin or pumpkin pie martini! My friend who is a bartender makes one but hasn't given me the recipe yet.
The best pizza anyplace between King of Prussia and Pottstown?
In Pottstown, Little Italy/Pourhouse is a great place. It used to be a dive but not its a great place to hang out, with family or watch a game and the food, service, and atmosphere are all very good. All of the Pizza's are excellent.
Sit By A Fire With Friends? Special Bar/Restaurant Happenings for Christmas?
Looking for a Restaurant, Bar or Lounge where a group of maybe 5-6 couples (10 people) can sit by a fire and get together before Christmas. Preferably no clubs or anything really loud; we'd like to be able to talk together. This will be the first time we'll be all together in a year. Also, are there any places with anything happening for the Holiday Season? Anywhere we can get Christmas Drinks? Once, we sat around the big tree at the Ritz but would rather not do that again. Center City or the immediate suburbs would be the best location. We've thought about Iron Hill in North Wales and Frankford Hall in Fishtown, but does anybody know if they have a fireplace? Thank you in advanced for your suggestions.
Need dinner idea to bring to family with new baby
I've done chicken pot pie for people with new babies in the past and they love it! Here is a really easy recipe! http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/hearty-chicken-pot-pie/07ca9e43-c96f-4540-991c-564ee78bd768

Hot Chocolate by a Fire? Philly OR Suburbs?
Is there any place other than Starbucks where you can get Hot Chocolate by a Fire in Philly or the Suburbs? Do any Cosi locations have a fireplace? Or other coffee houses anywhere between center city and Lambertville? Would rather not have to go to Starbucks.
Any Bars/Restaurants with Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout?
we don't have smart phones
WTC area restaurant with Good Craft Beer and Good Food
A little over a week from now, on a Tuesday evening my husband and will be heading to the city again but we'll be in the WTC area and we're looking for a place with good craft beer and good food. Appetizers and/or Entrees. Husband does not like seafood. Prefer to stay under $100 if possible.
Open to all suggestions.
Romantic picnic location, bringing food, wine, and blanket, any suggestions?
I contacted several bucks county wineries about a picnic just before Hurricane Irene and almost all were welcome and willing to have us picnic there. Just have to buy their wine! Rosebank in Newtown and Crossings Vineyards in Washington's Crossing are nice.
Mad Mex Willow Grove
Love Mad Mex! Been to the first/original location in Pittsburgh and the University City location more than a handful of times. Glad to finally have one closer to home. The margaritas are the best! Quesadillas are also excellent. So excited to go!
Warm Cozy Cafe with Fireplace and Hot Chocolate?
Need a nice place a group of 6-10 ladies could meet at possibly with some children in Philadelphia or the Suburbs for a Holiday Hot Chocolate get together! Thanks!
Any British Pubs in the Burbs? Are they doing anything for Guy Fawkes Day?
Going to The Ship Inn now to have a drink anyway.
Pre-Marathon Italian Restaurant with 2-kids
I recommend Ralph's on S. 9th Street. Very good and very family friendly!
50+ Taps for Husband
My Husband Loves Craft Beers and Places with 50+ taps or more so I am making a list for him and hoping to try them all eventually I already know about Monk's in Philly, The Drafting Room in Exton, The Iron Abbey in Horsham and Isaac Newton's in Newtown, PA. We've also been to Standard Tap and Philly Taphouse. Thanks!
