Any opinions about Hungarian food? Travelling to Budapest soon...

Hi there hbink, and thank you for your recommendations. Can you suggest anywhere for a top quality blowout classic Hungarian cuisine romantic meal including foie gras? My wife and I are coming to Budapest for our anniversary and are keen to have a really outstanding meal eating classic food really well executed. Gundel gets such mixed reviews that it doesn't feel like a safe choice, but we want to go somewhere posh, beautiful and traditional (we've eaten enough foams etc for a lifetime).

Cheers in advance for any thoughts!

Florence recommendations

Damn, so many excellent things to eat, and only one night to eat them!! I am veering towards Sostanza on the grounds that if there's one thing we should eat in Florence, it's bistecca (even more than truffles...). But Cammillo's veal brains sound fantastic. I guess that no-one has a view on Osteria delle tre panche, then....

Florence recommendations

Hi all

I'm trying to choose between various restaurants for a night in Florence in a few weeks' time. We don't want to go the Enoteca high-end route -- as it's our first trip to Florence, we wanted to eat more classical food.

From what I've read, it seems like the following may be a good bet. Can anyone help us choose?

La Decima Musa (apparently romantic)
Buca Lapi (good bistecca, I hear -- it may be a cliche but I've never eaten it so I'm happy to be cliched. Plus it has a truffle menu, and I think it's a good time of year for truffles)
Vini e Vecchi Sapori (simple and traditional)
Osteria delle tre panche (some very good reviews, but the chef proprietors have moved to San Diego so I'm not sure if it's still great; plus my wife is a bit dubious about going somewhere so small and having to share benches...it would only be worth it if the food is stellar)

Any advice v gratefully received
