Vegan Thanksgiving

Hello All:

Just trying to get some ideas on ordering a vegan Tday dinner for 3 people.
I'm sure I can order something from Bristol Farms or Whole Foods. Anywhere else?
I enjoy vegan variations on the traditional foods so I'm not looking for aanything too far from that.
I'm also not looking to bust the bank on this. I can make a decent, relatively inexpensive meal myself. Just thought it would be a good idea to ask the collective before firing up my oven.
Thanks so much!

Vegetarian is ok. Vegan would be better.

Dessert for company holiday party

Hello All:

Last year, we brought in our own desserts: 2 tarts from City Bakery and 2 cakes from Viktor Bene's. I'm content with going back to those places but thought I'd ask the hounds if they had other suggestions.
The tarts, if I recall correctly, were raspberry and lemon. Delicious.
The cakes were chocolate. I think one was cake and the other mousse. Both were amazing.
Our office is in Culver City and the party is in Marina Del Rey. But, we have staff coming in from all over so if you have a great bakery to suggest that isn't right here, chances are we can still pick it up.
We'll have 75 guests so we can pick up a few items.
It's not a dinner this year but appetizers and an open bar emphasizing wine. The boss likes his grape juice so those bottles will be in the $40-$80 range.
Thanks!

diner in a hotel?

That's it! Thank you both so much!

diner in a hotel?

Howdy Hounds!
This is vague but I know someone will know what I'm talking about. A few years ago, a friend took me to a diner inside I think a Best Western Hotel. He lives in Los Feliz and I don't recall being in the car for more than 15 minutes and we weren't on any freeways. I remember him parking and me saying "we're eating at a hotel?". It was kind of a hip place, dimly lit. I want to say we passed by photos of old Hollywood actors on the way thru the hotel lobby to get to this diner.
Any ideas?

Thanks!

Corporate holiday dinner

Hello All:
I'm looking for some alternatives to pitch to management about good places for our annual holiday dinner this December.
In prior years, when we were much smaller, we had dinners at Lucques, Patina and the Wilshire Restaurant. They were fantastic but expensive.
This year, we'll have close to 70 people attending. We have to scale back some. I've asked the staff for recommendations but I thought I'd go to the pros on CH. Some recommendations so far are: Sunset Tower Hotel, the roof or loft at the Standard Downtown, Edison, EuroChow, Opus and the Foundation Room at the House of Blues Sunset.
Things to consider: we have wine connoussiers (clearly not me, I can't even spell it), folks who refuse to put on a jacket or even a tie, people who want upscale but not "stuffy" and some staff who are fresh out of college who are just getting over Ramen. Quite a mix!
Ideal place: great wine selection, casual upscale environment, a great view of ...something. Approx $70/head.
Any ideas? Thanks!
