Revel - Atlantic City

When I was there last weekend, the Mussel Bar and the taco place were open. TI believe the rest were still training staff. If anyone happens to know when Village Whiskey opens, please let me know. We had one of the best burgers I've ever had at their Philly location and have been craving another.

Chinese restaurants in central NJ with special menu for Chinese New Year?

Can anyone reccomendation any good Chinese places that offer a special menu (banquet, buffet, pre- fix, etc.or festivities) for the Chinese New Year? I'm looking for someplace within an hour and a half from the ocean county area and most importantly terrific food. Thanks!

I heard it opened Monday and usually avoid new restaurants for a couPle weeks till they work out the kinks, but due to the lack of decent restaurantsin the toms river area, I'm getting impatient. Does anyone have any feedback (any guinea pigs out there)?

Looking for Greek Food and Falafels in Central/North NJ?

I had a delicious lunch at Taverna Ouzo in Monroe not too long ago. Have not been to dinner there yet, but I wouldn't hesitate. Best Greek food I've had in a long time.....

Breakfast in lower Manhattan?

I recently watched an episode "My favorite things" on Food Network in which they highlighted a breakfast place in lower Manhattan. For the life of me all I can remember is that there are blue checkered tableclothes and that the food looked delicious! I'd like to go there for breakfast this weekend if anyone might know what restaurant it is....?

Restaurant with private party room near Toms River

-Eagle Ridge Golf Course In Lakewood (near Toms River border) does a good job with private parties of that size.

-Artisan's Brew Pub in Toms River is always a good place for parties of that size.

-Lobster Shanty in Pt. Pleasant...but I'd stay away from the Toms River one.

Good luck!

Quick & Savoury Breakfast ideas needed – unconventional suggestions welcomed!

Crepes! You can do anything with them.....from a goat cheese, tomato, and spinach crepe, to nothing but blueberries with a little sour cream on the side or peaches with whipped cream.

Also, I grew up w/ occasionally having what my mom called "lunchettes" for breakfast once in a while. Basically, lightly toast some bread. And then layer it with some cooked bacon, diced onions, diced green peppers, and throw a slice of american cheese on top. Pop it in the oven until the cheese melts.....very simple but tasty.

Recipes/ Ideas for Duck Liver Pate?

I have 8 oz. of duck liver pate that I never got around to using for entertaining. Does anyone have any interesting ideas or recipes for it....rather than utilizing it just as a spread? I'm a little tired of pate spreads after the holidays.

Baby Shower...healthy appetizer/finger food ideas please!

I love this recipe for zucchini stuffed tomatoes. If you substitute grape tomatoes for the plum tomatoes, they make a great finger food appetizer.

Football Buffet Ideas

I have the Nordic Stadium Bundt cake pan (Sur La Table, Williams Sonoma) and I make a Stadium Cake every year for our Superbowl party. Guests absolutely love it and it's a lot of fun to decorate. I use a basic coffee cake recipe and decorate from there. Chocolate rock candies make good "heads" for the crowd/players. ...You can get as creative as you want, but it always gets attention...for tastiness and looks!

Looking for an affordable Monmouth or Ocean County restaurant for a baby shower

Artisan's Brewery & Italian Grille does a great job with small to moderate sized private parties. I've been to countless showers, engagement parties, etc. The chef is a great guy who will work with you to make sure everything goes off without a hitch. And it's affordable!

Buffalo-bison -- other than burgers in central NJ

The Sergeantsville Inn (in Sergeantsville) has a great game menu and I believe buffalo london broil was on their menu last time I was there. Great historic place too....each room has a theme, ...the tavern room, the library, the wine cellar, etc.

New Jersey's best burgers: Where Are They Now?

My picks:
Ernie's Tavern, Mercer County-The charm of this historic tavern is that the burger is the only thing on the menu at this joint!
Cassville Tavern, Jackson Township, Ocean County
Harpoon Willy's, Manasquan Twp.
