Best Eggnog

I made this version w/o the cognac in 2008, actually 3 batches. Made it just before Thanksgiving. We drank batch one between Christmas and New year. We drank batch two in 2010, same time period. It was delicious. My wife and I just finished half of batch 3,(we opened it New Years Eve 2013) and its now 1/25/2014 and should polish it off by Super Bowl. That's 5 year old eggnog!
Most DEFINITELY, wrap it in foil and keep in coolest part of fridge. Make sure you shake it very well to mix the cream solids and all. This batch was the smoothest EVER! We plan to do this again. There is NOT any chance of salmonella or otherwise. The alcohol does kill EVERYTHING with in the first few days COMPLETELY. The older it gets the smoother and more pronounced bourbon taste it has but smoother. The cream will clump a little but its still ok. Not to worry, this is normal, keep shaking. Just follow directions and it will be fine.

Thanks everyone, I'll open this 4 year old nog and let ya all know how it was!
I was hoping to get 1 more opinion on this besides mine.

I made 3 half gal a week before Thanksgiving in 2008. I drank 1 btl on Christmas 2008, I opened the second on Thanksgiving of 2009 thru Christmas 2009 and it was great. It's now Christmas 2010 and I'm contemplating the 3rd bottle. I think it should be good to drink. Any expert ideas?
