Black Sesame and Mustard Popcorn

@dfdachef- Togarashi is just chili pepper, shichimi is a a 7 spice blend including chili pepper. And it is most definitely NOT used on sushi! ! ! Never.
But I agree it could be good on popcorn.

Mushroom and Red Wine Meatloaf

Like the previous reviewer, I used a mix of pork and beef and baked it in a loaf pan. I also used a variety of mushrooms, including shiitake etc. While I thought it was delicious, my husband thought it was a little salty, so next time I might reduce the salt. Some sort of sauce might be nice when serving.

Stovetop Macaroni and Cheese

Very easy, delicious recipe. I used all heavy cream, and left the tabasco for the table. Must say that having made a half recipe, we will be eating this for some time to come. Huge portions! Next time will reduce to a quarter- nevertheless this is my new go-to mac&cheese recipe.

Easy Coleslaw

Excellent! Surprisingly simple, yet delicious. We opted for celery seed which added an interesting note. I used a combination of radicchio and cabbage, and substituted yogurt for sour cream. Serving with spare ribs. This is my new go-to slaw recipe!

Grilled Shishito Peppers

Sesame oil is fine too. Our preferred topping is a bit of soy sauce and then bonito flakes (katsuo boshi) Healthy and delicious,

Wasabi Deviled Eggs with Roe and Crispy Nori

Will try this, but wasabi is not chinese mustard. Also, to put uni with either wasabi or hot Chinese mustard will kill its sexy flavor. Oh, I see wasabi AND Chinese mustard- yikes, sounds like a mushy mess.v

Escargots?

THAT sounds like a good idea! will keep it mind for next time (still have some snails left over!) But the Pinot Noir did well enough too. Thanks for the suggestion!

Escargots?

I too am wondering what wine to pair with escargot a al bourgogne. . . my first instinct was a pinot noir. . . .have a lovely Gevrey-Chambertin on hand. Or, considering how hot and humid the weather is here, a sparkling rose? But I am planning on lots of garlic, so will likely open the pinot.

Bitter Widow

This is really a modified Negroni, I got excited until I realized I had been drinking this with gin instead of vodka. Well, I suppose there is nothing wrong with variation to expand the world of cocktail lore and trivia.
