wedding lunch (ceremony + reception) - possible restaurant ideas required
i was married at toula on top of the habourcastle westin. it was an amazing wedding. the ceremony was performed at the restaurant over looking harbour front. great staff, service, food, everything. we had just over a hundred twenty people and it was quite comfortable and laid back. i would do it all over again. It is doable for close to $10 k for just under a hundred people.
T&T coming to downtown!!!! (Toronto)
i have been down there the last couple of days. great specials. lobster for $5.98 lb and crab for 4. the best deal was the beef tenderloin for 5/lb. a pleasure to shop there.
Where can I get white peaches?
beamsville- go south west on king st. all kinds of orchards plus some decent wineries. it is about an hour from downtown.
Downtowner needs 905 recommendation!
restoran malaysia is great and has lots of room.
Three Toronto questions
hanoi 3 seasons on gerrard at broadview is a great place. a very warm place that is a little more refined then your typical vietnamese. mimi's is alright as well.
breakfast- you might want try zorba's on the danforth/pape, three eggs, bacon or sausage, homefries, toast, a modest greek salad and coffee for $4. Not the most elegant place but it serves good food.
WINGS!
they are actually quite good. very big and the sauce is decent. have one of the better specials around, a pint of beer and a pound of wings for 6.99
Aussie Chowhound needs reccs! Chinese/Malaysian/French
Best Malaysian food in Ontario is found outside of TO at Restoran Malaysia in Richmond Hill about 30 mins north on the 404. Extremely reasonable prices for very authentic food, lunch menu is fantastic. Another great place is It's All Good on Wales Ave. by the Kensington Market, great Tacos and it also serves some Malaysian dishes. Very reasonable prices. Danforth is a great location for food. You may also want to check out Gerrard and Broadview, the Hanoi 3 Seasons serves great Vietnamese with a french flair and the alcohol prices are cheap. Amazing service. You may also want to check out Batifole for authentic Normandy food just down the street. Amazing bread.
