Cross-border shopping: the food/drinks you always bring home to Vancouver

Secret Aardvark hot sauce.

Salsify, also known as Oyster Plant

I've seen it at Choices on Cambie on a number of occasions.

So Delicious Coconut Milk Yoghurt

Thanks for the info Islandgirl and Vegiegail. Hopefully there will eventually be more options in Vancouver for people who can't have dairy or soy.

So Delicious Coconut Milk Yoghurt

I'm trying to track down So Delicious Coconut Milk Yoghurt. I don't know if it's available in Canada. I haven't seen it at Whole Foods or Choices though I have seen their Coconut Milk for drinking.

I would appreciate any info if anyone has seen it around town.

Black sesame pastries?

Yeah me too. Thanks for the reply. I will keep searching.

Black sesame pastries?

Does anyone know of a bakery/ pastry shop/ store in Vancouver or Richmond that sells sesame pastries (shao bing?) or sesame balls (Jin deui?) with a black sesame filling?

I have seen similar items at T&T in the frozen section but I havn't had any luck finding them fresh in a pastry shop.

Any info would be much appreciated. I'm hooked on that sesame paste...

Vacuum packed italian chestnuts

I ended up using whole chestnuts and shelling them myself. If anyone else is looking however I have since bought them at Gourmet Warehouse. I can't remember the brand, not Italissima though they only seem to sell them in the larger jars.

Vacuum packed italian chestnuts

Thanks will try that.

Vacuum packed italian chestnuts

Has anyone seen vacuum packed Italian chestnuts in any stores recently. I bought some last year, I think they were Italissima brand but i'm not sure.

I have seen jarred chestnuts but they are quite a bit more expensive.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
