Eleven 14 - J House Hotel - Greenwich

There really isn't any such thing as not being "officially launched" or "trial runs"

If you're serving to the public and charging them for it...you're open. Not really sure what you want to call that - but I call it open.

Half Priced Wine in Fairfield County, CT?

Anyone know of restaurants that offer half priced bottle of wine specials on specific days?

I know Barcelona does every Sunday - and it's great - but we need to change it up...

Match in SoNo does too but I'm not a fan.

Anything else come to mind? Trying to enjoy a nice bottle of wine out while not breaking the bank.

Catered Sushi or Sushi Chef for private party? (Fairfield Country)

Tengda always does a really great job - try giving them a call.

No Colony Fairfield Reviews?

This too continues to baffle me...

Long live Colony I love the pies - but it makes no sense that it takes 25 minutes in an empty restaurant to make the pies - especially since the dough is pressed...

Anyone else find it odd?

Little Kitchen, Westport

I'm a big fan of little kitchen - they offer some great Chinese and Thai dishes in a fun atmosphere.

I have always enjoyed the lunch specials, especially the steak ku and the pork medallions which they no longer carry.

Great by the bottle wine list - just wish they'd work on the service more.

Still haven't tried their sushi yet - maybe this week.

No Colony Fairfield Reviews?

Went there the other day late night for a pizza - I grew up in Stamford so I am very familiar with Colony.

I'm glad to see them up here - I love the pizza. Definitely not something I want to eat everyday but it is the perfect pie for a pitcher of beer.

They did a great job recreating the product up north. The space is great but nothing special to those of us who grew up in the original.

You'll be seeing me here late night very often.

Wanted to know the Best and Worst Restaurants of Greenwich, Ct?

For the best scene in Greenwich my vote goes for Lolita Cocina in Byram. Yes it's dark, loud, crowded and a bit pricey - but isn't that what makes a scene?

Isabelle et Vincent Bakery-Fairfield Ct. Fantastic

Agreed - although I do find them to be a bit pricey I think it is worth it. Isabelle and Vincent are both extremely courteous, friendly and outgoing - the pastries and fresh and very good and the store itself is beautiful...

My personal favorites are the eclairs and napoleon cakes.

Romantic Italian in Fairfield?

I always enjoy 55 Degrees for a nice cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The tables are larger, it is more quiet than some other restaurants and the food is great.

New to Fairfield, CT from Manhattan - your favorite restaurants?

No I believe the new location is set for the OLD Fairfield Stationary location, hence the mix up since Molto and FFLD STationary's new location share an address.

New Cuban in Stamford?

With all due respect - restaurants don't just "migrate" They fail in a location and reopen elsewhere

New to Fairfield, CT from Manhattan - your favorite restaurants?

Firehouse Deli is a favorite quick time lunch stop for me.

Great salad bar and decent selection of sandwiches - all pretty quick.

Avoid the 1 PM summer lunch crowd!

Fun themed restaurant for fun dinner!

Hey everyone,

I'm a college student here and am not very familiar with restaurants in Boston. I come from NYC and need to find a few heavy themed restaurants for friends to meet for dinner.

What is a heavy themed restaurant? A restaurant that offers a uniquie ambiance, performance or theme to go along with the food. Some of the type sof places I'm looking for are:

Ninja New York - www.ninjanewyork.com
Buddha Bar - http://www.buddhabarnyc.com/
Tao - http://www.taorestaurant.com/
Jekyll & Hyde - http://www.jekyllpub.com/

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Pricing doesn't make much of a difference.

Has anyone been to Wild Rice in Norwalk?

I have been there at least 2 dozen times and I love it...

The owner Henry is very nice and outgoing - chat with him for a few minutes and he will remember you and make sure you are happy each and every time you return...

I'm not sure about the main dishes they serve as I only eat sushi - but the fish is always fresh and high quality - the lunch bento boxes are also very good.

Dum Sum: Jumbo over Mr. Chu's

My girlfriend and I were here on vacation and I wanted to try some Dim Sum down here. After reading the forums we decided that Mr. Chu's was the place to go.

We were NOT impressed. The service was not very good - the food had been sitting around for a while (we came at 12 so we thought it would have been fresh) and everything seemed dried out and - yucky - for lack of a better term.

Granted we are very picky with Dim Sum - growing up around China Town in both Boston and NYC.

SoBe please get some better Dim Sum!
