Han Dynasty or another idea for 40th bday

The Exton location has a private room. I don't remember how many it can accommodate but I think we had at least 11 people in one of their rooms.

Try Sonny' s in Limerick - they use Sarcone's bread and sounds like their South Philly Italian is for you.http://www.sonnysdeli.com/coldhoagies...

Trader Joe's Yay/Nay Thread - October 2013 [old]

I am so excited that TJs has Marcona with Rosemary- I just polished off my first jar from La Tienda. I scarfed all the dried rosemary and salt from the bottle after I ate all the Marconas.

Why Wegmans is the Greatest Supermarket Ever

They have a Pub in most of the recently opened stores which then allows them to extend the ability to purchase singles and six packs - and they have a real nice selection. A while ago they piloted a PLCB wine dispener in the self serve dining area - must not have been very successful, it didn't last long. In another store they piloted a vending kiosk where you could buy a bottle of wine that was pulled too. GO Privatization!

Why Wegmans is the Greatest Supermarket Ever

I was so excited when the Northborough store opened. I grew up on Wegmans then moved out of their footprint. I now live in the Philadelphia suburbs and have my choice of 2 Wegmans within 5 miles (and even 2 more within 10 miles). I am often in Westborough on business and always make the trip to the Northborough store. I am so jealous of the wine selection....real bummer living in PA who controls all the liquor sales.

looking for gift providers

Thanks to you I just placed and received my first order from La Tienda this week! I'm drooling over what to buy next and what to do with the three varieties of smoked paprika I HAD to have (along with the olives, padron peppers. chorizo and marcona almonds with rosemary). Just wish I could justify getting one of those jamon iberico legs.

Looking for a good restaurant on Cape Hatteras/Avon

Going south on rt 12 make a right going west where the Risky Business market is (which I don't recommend). Stay on that road for about 1/2 mile and look for the market on the right hand side (on the dock). Enjoy your trip! And remember to go early!

Looking for a good restaurant on Cape Hatteras/Avon

There's a seafood market in Avon on the sound side off of Rt 12 that services all the local restaurants. You have to go early because they sell out quickly. Very fresh and very inexpensive. I am terrible with directions, but if you are interested I can ask my husband for how to get there.

Looking for a good restaurant on Cape Hatteras/Avon

It's about 30 minutes south. There are plenty of restaurants in the Avon area - but many are very plain. I think we have eaten at almost every single restaurant on Hatteras Island. If you tell a little more what you are after I can try and steer you better.

Looking for a good restaurant on Cape Hatteras/Avon

I like Dinky's down in Hatteras Village - the sunsets are beautiful and the food has always been good. Also closer to where you are staying is Ketch 55 - also good. Dining in Hatteras is very casual, the bed and breakfast - Inn at Pamlico Sound - is a wee bit more upscale and their food is decent as well.

Seeking suggestions this weekend in northwest suburbs

Went to El Primo last weekend & we will definitely be back! I had the best chile relleno ever. The market was an extra bonus. My son had to do some extra credit work for his Spanish class so we scored big time! Another great chow hound recommendation.

Real Sichuan (spicy) near KOP

ok, then I would say that Pin Wei is little on meat and I wish there was more sauce! That I can talk. mooklenuck is way out of my league - or should I say I am way out of my element.

Real Sichuan (spicy) near KOP

Sorry pie - not sure I can pinpoint it - my best dan dan experience was at Han - but the quality and flavor was so inconsistent over many visits. I only tried them once at ping pong and can't remember what they were like. Pin Wei is definitely consistent, but not as good as my best Han memory. My best Han memory was the crazy szechaun peppercorn - it was hot!

Real Sichuan (spicy) near KOP

We usually will order the cucumber with scallion oil, dan dan noodles, dumplings in chili oil, cumin beef, hot and spicy shrimp hot pot, spicy fresh fish hot pot and broiled whole fish with spicy sauce. I don't eat the fish - but I am told it is very good.
