I am from out of town and will be taking a very special female out that night. She lives in the area and I do not. However, I want to take her someplace nice and upscale. Cost isn't as much as an issue as long as it is an all around great restaurant.

i am basically looking for not a super romantic obvious type of restaurant, but not some greasy spoon either. Just looking at a place that women would very much like to go to. Good food, ambiance and a decent wine list are all things I'd like to find.

Also, any recommendations of what to do afterwards? Any quaint lounges to grab a drink? Anywhere that has a live band play we can just go have a good time?
