Orlando - Best Mexican Restaurant
I like taquitos Jalisco, But would also recommend. Taco palenque. Just downthe road in winter garden. Reasonable prices, fresh authentic food, the condiment bar is loaded withe a variety of fresh toppings for your meal , and a super nice owner to top it off, glad to say they are thinking about expanding to a second location.

Good soft shell crab in central fl?
Any suggestions? Sautéed preferably, but open to all suggestions....
Cajun Cafe on the Bayou, Pinellas Park
I've been a couple of times in the last year, I though the food and service was mediocre , I had the jambalaya ( decent). Étouffée ( bland), bread pudding. ( very good size portion and tasty, but not served warm enough).
Best Steakhouse in Orlando?
Hint for anyone going to berns, When you make the reservation, ask to sit in Drews section. Get you reservation well in advance, they have been super busy as of late.
Best Buffet- is there any such thing? And rec for special 40th-
It's costly but worth the price IMO. They sever Perrier jouet champaign have excellent lamb chops. When I go, I get my money's worth from those two alone, then I try a few shrimp, a lobster, and some chocolate covered strawberrys. They also have some caviar (not very high quality, but adequate).
Sunday Brunch at Verandah Four Seasons LV
Ballys has gone back to serving PJ. Price is now $90. $85 with a players card.
I love the rack of lamb at ballys.
I noticed there is a lot of talk about food at the Cosmo...
Stayed nine days at Cosmo in January, Love Milo's, pizza is good, holsteins is pricey with sketchy service, Crooked spoon is decent buffet option ( I only went for breakfast). Room was spectacular, atmosphere was definitely good for peep watching.
Catfish Alley, Las Vegas
Checking in to Cosmo today, looking forward to it. Will report back.
A great lunch a Milos
They are also opentable. I eat lunch there often, great food great value, good service.
Need Wine Recommendations for Berns in Tampa
Was gonna recommend a server named Drew, Great guy, helpful, knowledgeable, been there 30 years.
Is Lotus of Siam worth the trek for a Portlander?
Ok, having decided that all the raves about Los were some type of big joke, I'll give the menu another chance. It's not that I've found Los to be bad, just that it is slightly above average. In fact I have started going to ocha when in Vegas as I've found the food inexpensive and pretty good. Lemon grass at the aria is good but relatively expensive. I will say that it's been a while since I've ordered off the Los menu. Going later this week, will report back.
Oyster aficionados - Ameripure oysters?
I grew up on apalach oysters as well, I love them, but I will say that Ameripure oysters are very good as well, yes less briny (my preference anyway) and a little less slimy. But very good none the less.
Orlando: Fantastic Brazilian Bakery on I-Drive
Stopped by yesterday, tried the burger (double meat one), Huge, thought it was good, liked the egg on it in particular.
La Luce Orlando / Disney
Correction, the entire valet fee is now being validated at la luce.
Food/service/atmosphere are all still excellent.
Great service Orlando restaurants
The most recent was, I went to a restaurant yesterday for Sunday brunch, downtown orlando. Walked in at 11 am and was immediately sat by host with a menu to peruse. By 11.19 nobody had come by to take my order, I walked out. the restaurant had 2 other tables that had been sat. Sent the owner (a friend) an email, got a quick response with an apology and a i'll be there in a while to investigate.
I was in ft lauderdale/Hollywood last week and basically the same thing happened at two different restaurants, I walked into Thai spice, there was a hostess behind the podium, I was the only one at the podium the whole time, after 5+ minutes, she looks up (she had been doing something on the computer, at me and asks.... "are you getting something to go", I said no I'd like to be seated. Then the waiter assigned didn't show up for 15 minutes, again it was late 9:30 and not very busy. The food was excellent btw.
I am often a single diner and it's not infrequent that this happens.
At council oak, a high end steakhouse at the hardrock casino in Tampa. I think it has become a bit of a Mexican standoff. I eat at the bar, the servers know I am not gonna tip, and I know that I am gonna be basically ignored. I spoke to the manager once about having such poor service at the counter and lounge, he totally blew me off. I do get good service when I get a table in the restaurant. The food is very good.
Venting feels good.
New entry for Orlando's best burger
Tried the burger, one of the few items on their menu that I don't absolutely love. To messy, flavors didnt quite work, pickle was good though. Rusty spoon is serving some of the best food in Orlando these days.
City fire. Orlando
Locally owned, reasonably priced, good food. Located on sand lake in via dellagio shopping center.
Great service Orlando restaurants
Having received some appalling poor service recently, I started thinking about the restaurants that I have frequented that i have only had very good or excellent service each and every time.
I have dined at each of these multiple times and can't recall one bad service experience. I estimate the number of times in parenthesis
The Ravenous Pig (30)
La Luce. (7)
Capital Grille (10)
Flemings. Winter park location (10)
Chathams Place. (25)
Victoria and Alberts. (7)
Kudos to the managers and employees of the above for your emphasis on the service side of the equation.

Ocha
Thai/Chinese (don't laugh). Dingy downscale place across the street from stratosphere.
I haven't tried any Chinese food yet, but the Thai (Tom yum, Tom kha, curries) are quite good. Inexpensive, but very good food.
Fine meal at La Luce near Disney
Went twice during magical dining month, still a great place to dine. Discovered the butterscotch pudding. http://www.facebook.com/OrlandoFavorite. The toffee that accompanies it is some of the best stuff I have ever put in my mouth.
Victoria & Albert's Chefs Table
I'd suggest getting the tables in wonderland card that disney offers and using in the regular dining room at v and a. 20 percent off food and alcohol, they don't accept it at chefs table. That gets you to about $160 pp pairing included. I know they will also take it at California grill, I think they might have started honoring it at all the other restaurants on your list too.
Scarpetta vs Bartolotta vs Milos
Went to nove on last trip, disappointed in food and service.
Holsteins burgers in The Cosmopolitan
Had a milk shake, thought it was good but very expensive for the size.
Interesting experience when I was there. Eating at counter, the guy next to me got the wrong hamburger. Manager admitted that kitchen had made a mistake, but did not offer to bring out the correct burger or give him the one he got gratis.
B & B Ristorante
Excellent food and service, had the prix fix menu. I think that I recall that they are a 1000 point restaurant on open table.
City Fire. .. Great deal Monday nights. Orlando
Yes, I've tried it. Something seems different than the salad served at pebbles, not quite as good, I don't think.
