I know it's been discussed before, but... Ramen?

Looks like the hype has died down - still a steady stream of patrons on a Tuesday evening but the flow is a lot better with regard to the seating. Totally reasonable wait times in line - even at 7 pm - took about 5-7 minutes to order and sit; we received our three bowls of ramen very quickly. So weekdays after 7pm (and definitely after 9pm) are great times to go in my experience.

Recommendation for lingering breakfast spot?

Easy - I myself visited with my girlfriend for almost 3 hours this morning at Full English Cafe in South Austin. There wasn't a ton of people - it's a laid back cafe with couches and magazines to read. The Full English breakfast was excellent. There are desserts as well. It was nice to catch up with my friend over a pot of tea.

Bubble Tea place on Parmer?

If you're talking about the Tea Lounge, I was there over the weekend. Cleaner than Coco's. No food though, only teas. This reminds me of what I find in Houston with regard to bubble tea houses. The have lots of cream teas, slurpees, coffees, big tapioca pearls and baby tapioca pearls. Last weekend they were having a BOGO for their grand opening. They only have 1 TV (projection), and 1 public computer and they have some board games. The tea I had (almond cream) was very good.

Where to get sushi grade fish

If you just want tuna and salmon, HEB Central Market (on 35th) has it - sometimes it's in the white coolers in the middle of the seafood section, but if you don't see it, just ask the fishmonger for the sashimi grade tuna/salmon; it comes frozen. The tuna is very good, I have not tried the salmon (it's tucked in my freezer). New Oriental Market on Airport Blvd has a frozen cut of yellowtail (hamachi) - they sell it at $19.99 a pound and usually the piece I pick up is $30. But it will make lots of sushi. DK sells ikura and the other standard stuff - he slices them and packs them in foodsaver bags - also a reasonable option.

Coffee granita in Austin - where to find

Wanted to report that Roaster's Coffee Haven on 620 (between Anderson Mill Rd and 183) does have granitas - I just tell them no whip cream. Thank ssouth - my granita cravings have been answered!

Coffee granita in Austin - where to find

I have a serious craving for a coffee granita - if I recall when I was a student at UT I used to get them all the time at the Texas Union Store (this was back in '92). I don't want a frapuccino - I want the real thing - usually it's dispensed from a machine. Any ideas?
