Unexpected weekender in Taos, NM -- Recommendations??

Thanks, ninrn! I will try Orlandos tomorrow as it was also recommended by my innkeeper and by a cool local at Eske's...a great brewpub!

Michaels was reco'd for breakfast and also La Cueva for NMexican....will report back. First time in Taos...a little unusual, but very interesting!

- any can't miss non-chain restaurants? Obviously some local flavor will be the target.
Thanks!!

What would your final meal in Denver be?

Another strong thumbs up for El Taco de Mexico...as authentic as we get around here....those ladies have been in a bad mood for 20 years, since the small yellow shack, but they do know how to cook. Best salsa for tacos I have ever had....if I had one meal in Denver, that would be it. Cash only, but worth going to an ATM for...wish they stayed open later like the good old days!!

Best Private Room Venue in Vegas for 45 People for an 85th Birthday Dinner

Ok, hounds...I really need help. Sorry for the long title, but we need to cast out a net. If you have been involved in a soiree like this, can you add a quick note?

It could be a private room at a good buffet, a private room at a steak house like Lawry's or Craftsteak, but from what I have seen, this will run around $85+ per person, which is hard to take for the kids.
But we don't want to go to a $9.99 skeevy buffet or restaurant...

Like I said, I NEED HELP!!!! Thanks in advance!!

Vegas: Buffet; off the strip; top spot

I will check out Green Valley Ranch....I have somewhat of a family that feels more comfortable with steak/seafood menu....they don't stray too far from the center line!
