Best meal I ever ate:
An afternoon in the Keys when it broke out into a rainstorm. A whole group of us headed up to the Rooftop Cafe, same place we had breakfast that day. We sat in the open rooftop dining area with the rain coming down all around, we shared the most delicious food we had ever had. The freshest seafood, and cleanest flavors.
My current drink of choice:
Always vodka seltzer with lemon

Have a wood fired outdoor oven

My mothers collection of clippings, handwritten recipes, and photo copies. They all have notes and changes and markings. I love the star rating she would give them, and the measurement changes or additions. I really love the recipes in my grandmother and great-grandmothers handwriting. The food of the past is so deeply imbeded with tradition.
