NY Lunchbox

I was there last week, and ordered scrambled eggs on a bagel. It was supposed to come with "home fries", but was told that they didn't have them, and it would be the same price no matter.

The employee making the eggs was making an entire batch of scrambled eggs, and stacking them up, I can only assume that this was for people that ordered them in the future, so that they didn't have to "Waste their time" by making fresh food. When he saw I saw what he was doing he made me a fresh one. It had no taste.

I will not go back there. I have no confidence that the food will be good or fresh.

I wish them best of luck.

the best place to buy hamentashen in bulk?

You may want to try Reisman's Bakery in Brooklyn, on Avenue O. I don't they have packaged goods and have a pretty decent distribution system in the NY Metro Area. I have bought from them before and they are a pleasure to deal with and their food is pretty good. Their info is 110 Avenue O Brooklyn, NY 11204 (718) 331-1975. http://www.reismansbakery.com/

Harlem Costco

Has anyone checked out the kosher section there? What is it like?

Baguette Express

I was there about 2 weeks ago. Its a small sandwich shop for take out. There isn't really anywhere to eat. For Manhattan, the prices are affordable. Its an Israeli style sandwich place. They have a limited menu, but affordable. The kosher food business is a rough business and I hope that they make it.

Kosher in Quebec City

I was there on vacation 2 years ago, and there are not any kosher stores in the area. At local supermarkets you should be able to find a full variety of kosher packaged goods, {which is what we did} except for meat products; but you wont find the "jewish" brands. Sorry, it is a nice city though...

Kosher Subway Now Open In...New Rochelle!

i did and they were more expensive. Look, the kosher grocery store in New Rochelle couldnt make it, I don't see how a store making overpriced pre-cut deli sandwiches will cut it.

Kosher Subway Now Open In...New Rochelle!

I went last week. The prices were ridiculously expensive even for kosher food, and the food was not fresh. If I am going to pay 7.99 for a 6 inch sub, the meat should be fresh and not laying there all day long. They are more expensive than the other Subway kosher franchises. Moreover, Grill Point is down the block and much cheaper. I don't see how they make it, unless they figure their act out.

Recommendations for nice place in Riverdale or Westchester?

Its a tough call, there really is nowhere to go. Actualy when we really want a good meal and have some time on our hands, we actualy go to the cafeteria at Weiler hospital (Einstein). That is the best kosher food in the Bronx/Westchester area. Otherwise Manhattan it is (or Great Neck, depending on traffic).

Any Kosher Dunkin Donuts Stores in Brooklyn?

the ones that had a problem were the ones on Avenue J and the one on 86th Street. There are kosher ones on Kings Highway (2 of them), Quentin Road, Nostrand and I, Flatbush Avenue, Avenue M, Coney Island Avenue and Ditmas Avenue, in Park Slope (in the Pathmark shopping center), I must be missing some others.

Prime Grill Online??The Kosher Omaha Steaks

its not enough that they charge close to $200 for 4 RAW steaks, they also have a minimum $25 charge for shipping (it goes up the more you order). If you can afford this, you can afford to swim with Scrooge McDuck in his Tower of Money.

kosher in lancsaster pa?

There is kosher food inside of Dutch Wonderland. You don't have to go to the park to get food, you can go to guest services and they will give you a pass for like 40 minutes to go into the park just to buy food. The kosher stand also sells discount tickets to hershey park as well. They are right across the street from the outlet malls. check out http://ourkehilla.com/ and their phone number is 717-392-5111.
