My theater group (by that I mean we attend, not perform) is always looking for somewhere to go downtown. We're looking for somewhere with a view as it's lighter longer.

We've been to Muer's at the Ren Cen recently. Two choices on the radar right now are Sky Bar & Grill and the Signature Grille. Anybody ever been?

Definitely drive to Eastern Market. Even on its busiest day, you can find a parking space. I'd highly recommend Russell Street Deli for breakfast. If you have a sweet tooth, walk around the market and grab a Luv's custard pie and throw it in your mini fridge for later.

If you feel like driving a little further, (maybe another five minutes) check out Rodin in Midtown at the Park Shelton for brunch.

Can't say enough good things about Bucharest.

A reservation couldn't hurt, but they've expanded in the last couple years, so you shouldn't have problem getting in. By far the best restaurant in the Thumb.

While you're in the area, grab a drink and an appetizer near the farm at The Bank in Pt. Austin. The bar upstairs is the old bank vault.

If you're go further down the road, Giuseppe's in Caseville has a great eggplant parm. My friends and family love the Shipwreck Salad at Riverside Roadhouse in Caseville too. Lefty's gets great reviews for breakfast.

That's why Cranbrook had me stuck, it's not near anything. I think we'll give Northern Lakes a try. Thanks!

I had goat at Roast last month. I wasn't thrilled. Kind of stringy and greasy, but maybe that's how it's supposed to be?

The only other time I've had goat was at Girl and the Goat in Chicago where I had a goat empanada. It was flavorful, light and fluffy, so I was anxious to try goat again.

I'm close to Farmington Hills, so I'm going to give goat one more try at Zayeqa.

I live in the Detroit area, but on a recent visit I had outstanding sushi at Wild Ginger. Since it was my only sushi in Cincinnati ever, can't really compare, but I'd definitely go back next time I'm in town.

In my opinion, you didn't miss much with skipping People's Pierogi Collective. Last time I was there, they made them on the grill wich is nowhere near as good as a crispy pan fry.

Sorry you missed Love's Custard Pies. They're amazing. I ordered seven at Thanksgiving to disperse to friends and family. The prices were slightly less than Achatz, Zingerman, Grand Traverse and the like, but they were definitely as good as any custard pie I've ever had. I loved the caramel pecan. The rest of the family raved about the German chocolate and chess pies. And to top it off, they delivered the pies to my house the night before Thanksgiving.

Any suggestions for a Friday night dinner for six close to Cranbrook?

Unfortunately we have one very unadventurous eater in the group, a real meat-and-potatoes only kind of guy. He'll also eat lasagne, pizza or chicken wings. The rest of the group is much more willing to -- and looks forward to -- trying something new.

We have people coming to and from Rochester and Livonia to attend the event at Cranbrook, so staying semi-close to that area would work best.

As a frequent diner at Steve & Rocky's please explain "malaga" and is there more on the secret drink menu? Any other secrets?

We ended up last week at Moe's on Ten due to the insistence of friends we were dining with desire to try it based on a recommendation. Overall, Big Boy-ish but with drinks. Not great food, cleanliness not so great. The ambience of the night was topped off with a much needed vacuuming of the floor while we were still eating at about 9:00 p.m.

I will say the waitstaff was great and my sister-in-law says it's a great for breakfast.

Anyone ever been? Any thoughts?

I'd recommend the London Chop House, everything ala carte should eat up your $$. Great food, great wine list, great service. And a gold brick sundae for dessert

Loved Wongs of Windsor back in the day. The food was great. First time I had duck, birds nest and crabmeat rangoon.

I've been to Shangri La in WB for a regular meal and was less than impressed, but figured I must have ordered the wrong thing or hit on an off day since it's been reviewed so favorably here. I'm in that mall four plus times a week (Yoga Shelter, not a compulsive shopper - not usually anyway). I'll try the dim sum this weekend.

And if anybody has a menu recommendation for future reference for a takeout or a meal that's not dim sum, I'd appreciate it your suggestions.

Russell Street Deli in Eastern Market for a wonderful breakfast with the freshest of ingredients.

I was at Green Dot last week. We ordered a variety of sliders. Loved the catfish slider. The only one I wouldn't order again was the chicken curry. This is an odd thing to say, but it made my fillings hurt. Their fries are amazing.

As long as you're in the area, stop by the Honey Bee market for some chips and salsa to eat in your car on the way to El Barzon in Mexicantown, an awesome little Mexican/Italian restaurant. The Mexican/Italian mix sounds wrong, but it's so right.

Ow, I guess I didn't look at their website very thoroughly. $100 pp definitely will not fly. We'd need half of that or less. Back to the drawing board. : )

Planning on going first week of July. If you haven't been by then, I'll report back. If you go first, let me know what you think?

Do you need a reservation?

I'm in need of a recommendation for a group of 10-15 in what I believe is the far northwest side/Menomonee Falls area. We'll be staying at Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Park Place
11600 West Park Place, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Outdoor seating is preferable. Any type of cuisine works.

Ages range from early twenties to senior citizens. I need a recommendation to prevent someone else setting us up at a TGI Friday's.

And if you go on a Wednesday, Bang Bang shrimp is $5 all day. Until 6:30 they have 1/2 off drinks. The wait is usually long for inside, but it's first come first serve at the bar and patio.

I was a little afraid to try the seared ahi tuna too, but now I'm a convert. Their Bang Bang shrimp appetizer is great. I usually get the ahi since I discovered it, but they have a ton of fish/seafood options. Personally, I like the chimichurri sauce.

Diamond Jim Bradys, Bonefish Grill (chain, but great, especially the ahi tuna) and Toasted Oak are all good choices in the Novi area.

Recently went to the Novi Chophouse and it was pricey, but outstanding -- food and service.

All four of these restaurants are around the Novi Road/96 intersection.

Funny you should say Magic Pan. That was my mother-in-law's favorite restaurant which started the love of crepes!

We're up in the between Le Petite Zinc if they have crepes on the menu that night, if not, we'll try What Crepe. I'm in Royal Oak all the time and had no idea they were there. I'll report back. This coming Thursday is my mother-in-law's 86th birthday. She loves crepes. We'll be picking her up in Livonia, but are willing to do a bit of driving.
