I'll be in town for three days. I live five hours away so a trip to the city is not happening often but since I moved here from NY I have went to SF just one other time. That was during the World Cup over the summer and it was a fantastic experience. On that trip I went to:
Nopa, which was amazing.
Lafitte which was impressive and original.
Tony's for a pie, it was good but I was too drunk to really enjoy it.
SPQR where I had some delicious pasta and pig.
Monk's Kettle, food wasn't bad, beer selection was better.
Zazie for breakfast. Wow.
I was happy with what I was able to get in having been there just for the weekend. I will have an extra day this time and want to take advantage of it. Money isn't an issue but I don't need two star places. This time, I'm dying for some good Italian food again, I like small plates so I can try different things, love charcuterie and cheeses... Here's what I'm thinking, I appreciate any and all input. I literally walk around and eat for three days.
Sentinal for sandwich lunch.
Mr. Pollo because it sounds impressive and cheap.
Barbacco because Perbacco sounds too fancy for me, and better suited for dining alone.
Wexler's because I need one of those scotch eggs.
Beretta because they have a million choices.
Flour & Water or Delfina, maybe both. Maybe A16?
Alembic because I like bars and need a good place in Haight.
Heart sounds interesting as well. Haven't been able to find too much info on it.
Thanks for the help.
