Best restaurant in Mississauga I will let you in on the best kept secret in Mississauga - Apricot Tree Cafe. It's on Dundas St, in the same little plaza as Rogues & Rosewood Bistro, right next to Starbucks. I've been going there for more than 10 years, & it still amazes me that not many people know of it and that it wasn't mentioned in this thread. Its a very quaint place, with mismatched furniture, an open kitchen & to-die-for food. And all very very reasonably priced. An entree with a dessert should come to a little over $20, which is amazing for the taste, quality & freshness of the food. They are open Monday to Saturday for breakfast, lunch & dinner. For lunch, I would suggest their Shrimp Flatbread. For dinner, if you want something from the menu, I would suggest either the Wiener Schnitzel or Chicken Terragon pasta (also can be made in a crepe instead). Do not be fooled by their small menu, because the reason I go to Apricot Tree is for their specials. There specials change daily for lunch & dinner. There are 5 specials to choose from: soup, warm salad, pasta, crepe & usually 2 choices for entree. I always get a special & I am never disappointed. Also, be sure to leave room for dessert, as the owner of this cafe, Franz, is a God. They have a seasonal dessert - the pumpkin cheesecake, that has become the cake I order from them every Thanksgiving. Another good choice is the Toblerone triple chcolate mousse cake. For dessert, there are are a number of selections from a menu, plus a lot of cakes in the display area to chhose from. Go there & you will NOT be disappointed. ----- Rosewood Bistro |
