NYE with Kids
Any suggestions for potential fun places that are kid-friendly for an early NYE dinner? Probably looking more in metrowest than in the city.
Thanks
Waltham Area Catering Suggestions?
Hello,
I will be hosting my husband's 40th birthday in a month, and I am looking for some suggestions as to where I might get the food. We were thinking of ocntacting the Elephant Walk or an Indian restaruant, but I wanted to see if Chowhounds had any suggestions. We'd need to have vegetarian and potentially gluten-free options. Thanks!

Kid-Friendly Restaurants?
Hello,
My family will be going to Montreal next week with our 2 1/2 year old son. His diet consists of chicken fingers, pizza, mac and cheese and the like. Can anyone suggest some restaurants that would have offerings for him but also some choices that me and my husband would like?
Thank you!
Indian Grocery Stores
There are a number of them on Moody St. in Waltham. The largest one is my favorite, and it is quite extensive. It's big enough to have full-sized carts. It's the one closest to High St.
Boston Area's Best Lunches?
I live here in Waltham but usually am not out and about for weekday lunches b/c of work.
Boston Area's Best Lunches?
My husband and I are staying around here for our vacation next week and are looking for suggestions for places to go to lunch in the Boston and Metrowest Areas. So what are your favorites?
fun, not too pricey dinner in cambridge/somerville?
I suggest Christopher's in Porter Square. And Toad, a small live music place is just next door.
Romantic Weekday Lunch?
My husband and I are thinking of celebrating our anniversary while our son is at day care rather than going for dinner. Does anyone have any suggestions for romantic lunch spots either in Boston, Cambridge or Metro West?
Kid-Friendly Funky Places
Would my toddler be able to go down to the Milky Way after if people wanted to bowl as well as enjoy the bar?
Kid-Friendly Funky Places
-- The price range is not too much of an issue -- personally I've found the more expensive, the less conducive to a toddler, but I'm open to nice places that will take him (if not for this event, for me).
-- 9-10 people
-- No real geographic constraints. Within an hour of Boston.
-- No one is too squeamish about food.
-- In the past, we've gone to Jasmine Bistro in Brighton (pre-baby), Joe's American Bar & Grill, some thai place in Norwood, Zocalo in Brighton.
Thanks for the help!
Kid-Friendly Funky Places
I am going to be choosing a place for my husband's cousins to get together for a nice dinner -- we do this once every couple of months. And I want a cool place where people won't freak out that we're bringing an toddler. I was going to choose Karoun, but half the reason to go there is the dancing and that starts way too late to bring my son. I want a place with good food and character -- not a chain if at all possible. Any suggestions for that and other great kid-friendly places would be appreciated!
