worth it alone for the description of an unexpected boozy lunch alone in France including a live trout in a bucket. She turned on so many to the simple sybaritics of food
Ireland report, part I (Dublin)
there are now three porterhouses in dublin and another microbrewery who do maeves finians beers, but to my tongue they are prettty awful-flat tasting sweet and soapy and dull.some irish cheeses the same-poor imitations of french classics-cooleeney if ripe is an exception. blazing salads, cornocopia, and the hare krishna place govindas do good veggie food. ribeye with bearnaise good at fxb above ryans in parkgate street.
Ireland report, part I (Dublin)
my stomach used to be able to take burdocks but they fry in 100% lard and reckon heart and tum need a break.restaurant under writers museum is chapter one-it is ok has one michelin star-pre theatre menu is ok,but features the now bloody ubiquitious belly of pork.dublin food coop is a good place to meet eat and buy-only daytime saturday.

overpriced and underwhelming are the places above. try da pino, or lunch at guilbaud. go on dart train to dalkey.competition means all night early bird set menus and free music.train journey to bray best but only one decent place to eat there usually booked out (campo fiori)
most food in dublin is just assembly of dull ingredients(watery chicken fillets in sauce from a jar etc.) at silly prices. hard to find even an exciting ethnic meal.
