Alternative to Paprika recipe app?

I got a reply from Paprika, so that may come up trumps. Ditto from MealBoard, who say they hope to have an Android version in about a year.

Meantime, I guess I will continue with ForkChop, and start to create an app that covers what I want. (I'd been putting that off, because it's a lot of work to do.)

Alternative to Paprika recipe app?

I have just found what looks like the perfect app for me, called MealBoard but unfortunately it is only for iphone/ipad.

Alternative to Paprika recipe app?

Thanks for that - I have placed an enquiry. Not feeling very hopeful, as the site doesn't seem to have been updated since last November!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I can't see that maintains a pantry list, and I can't install it until my Windows 10 arrives. Can you confirm if it can hold a list of what you already have in your pantry, that you can add unusual items to?

Alternative to Paprika recipe app?

I just downloaded the app, but failed at the first hurdle when I could not set up the Pantry feature (can only pick from the picklist - I'm in the UK; I have granulated sugar, demerara, soft brown, etc...)

It seems not to have had any updates on the site since November, and there is no way to email the developers.

Does anyone know if it is still being supported/developed? Or is there an alternative out there which will allow me to set up and maintain my pantry list as well as the usual stuff like shopping list and recipes?

I really want to get all my recipes into one place. Forkchop does that for me, but doesn't do much else (I think its just a single developer's sideline project). I have accounts at AllRecipes, Epicurious and so on, but they don't really cover what I'm looking for.

Vancouver couple looking for a one stop food souvenir shop for UK goodies in Birmingham

Waitrose is the top supermarket and has a great range of the sort of things you say you are looking for, eg Fudges' biscuits. There is a branch locator at http://www.waitrose.com/branches/inde... which will help you find one, and you can check out the products too.

You will also get excellent quality foods from Marks & Spencer. Its a while since I have been in one, but they used to have all the items you ask for.

Better than either of these will be to go into a good delicatessen. There is bound to be at least a couple on the main streets somewhere (sorry, its over 10 years since I was there). A quick search brought up www.picklesofharborne.co.uk but there will be plenty more.

Cardamom-Spiced Carrot Cake with Whipped Cream-Cheese Frosting

Made this as a standard carrot cake (ie one layer) with the recommended frosting for an important birthday party. Absolutely excellent! I also coloured some marzipan pale orange to make suitable letters for the top.

Will be making this regularly.
