Can you eat lobster when you're pregnant? Fish are generally a positive thing to eat during pregnancy because many fish contain Omega-3 Fatty Acids which are good for the development of the brain, etc. However, you have to be careful of fish at the top of the food chain because they contain higher levels of mercury (king mackerel, tuna, shark). All other fish can be eaten in moderation - including shellfish, which have the lowest levels of mercury. As a pregnant New Englander, I just enjoyed a lovely Lobster dinner the other night and a lobster roll from the leftovers! Yum! But for seafood, moderation is key! |

John Harvard's - Manchester, CT I just went to John Harvard's in Manchester last night (01/23/2011) - it was open, everything was delicious as usual. I had heard about the new ownership etc. I have to say that I will be disappointed if they change the menu - I love the JH's grilled meatloaf. It's delicious and you can't get it anywhere else. So, I guess we'll see. ----- |

Hibachi Fried Rice vs. Chinese Fried Rice What about using sake? I haven't tried to make hibachi rice at home yet - but they do seem to use a lot of sake when cooking in the restaurant. Also, garlic and maybe sesame seeds (which I saw someone else suggest). Anyway, more sake, more happy, right? |
